PLS    Turn off the chat for players who are killed and not participating in the game ...

For it will be only condescending talk in chat about other players ... that do not add more than more fights and bad game mood!

we got the same problem in WoT.... and it is so bad for the game...

sry for my bad english but i think u now what i trying to say here...

-1 I still need to insult my teamates when I died to lecture them.

How about no? Spectaters can be helpful. I certainly like to give advice or chat with people after i died. Especially if there is someone who outplayed and killed me and i like to congratulate him. Just because you encounter some black sheep doesn't mean that everyone else will act the same way.

+1 totally agree

I'm inclined to say it is a neccesary evil. But damm, you have to recognize most of the times there is only filth in the game chat...

I dont see any problem with killed teammates speaking. I miss a post battle chat option for comment funny situations, make friends, etc. Just report toxic players instead.

+ 1. I've had several friendly chats and discussions with other sunken captains concerning what happened to us and those times beat the negative experiences by a land slide

I'm rather fond of being able to talk to people even after being sunk, be it a discussion about something or just giving tactical heads up to those who still remain on the surface.

Well, Wargaming Community and the fact, that the "closed Beta" is just a normal Beta now, did you expect anything else? well, i didnt, it already startet with the beginning of the closed Beta so well, nothing you can do about it.

But, i have to disagree, as shrubbery pointed out exactly what i think about the chat mode for sunk players.

I watch the mini map after I die and see if I can't spot ships or give warnings. Being able to say good job to someone after they sank you is fun to.

Well clearly you have two options here:

1. Dont read the chat in the first place go get a drink or something

2. Exit to port and take out another ship & carry on having fun :)

Would be a good idea to stop flaming an spamming. Example, some days old. Battle starts, "pro player" in cruiser starts rushing and dies. Team did the same, got raped within minutes. I was the last one alive 'fighting for death'.

He starts telling the enemy my position, and he starts to insult me for no reason.

This would be better solved with an ignore list.

I like to give a couple of pointers if I don't die very early (oh the shame... it happens now and then). It has even produced results *gasp*. And I have responded to people I have killed when they asked how I did it. There will always be douches, and silencing them after death won't really stop them. They will just throw crap before they die instead.

And that guy who was so nice as to point things out to the enemy, yeah... thankfully those cases are rare. However, a person willing to do that would probably also be willing to sail in the rear and do the same. In this case however, I think he was bored and didn't know he could leave the battle, and wanted it to end. I'm am quite sorry that such an idiot gets to play. But this can thankfully be reported (and hopefully acted upon if he does it some more) under the Unsportsmanlike Conduct.

At some point, when WG has finished securing their client, they will work with modders so more mods can come to WoWs. At that time I reckon mods like BattleMessenger or similar will arrive and there you can filter out 'dead' players. Until that time......

I'm kinda indifferent about this to be honest. Has it's pros (for example saying gg or well played, or when someone says taht to you), has its cons (cursing and swearing). Does not influence my game much.

would say this is 50/50 some of the best advise was a player who was dead and guided the team to a win have seen this many times in tanks and also a few times in warships , don't think this will happen you need the content quite a few battles are starting to have decent chats can ask a few questions so don't think this will go far

How about implementing a chat option to silence dead players, or to mark insulting/spamming players for that specific game or permanently for spamming and mute/ignore them?

I´d say, muting all "dead" players is the wrong way. First of all, as has already been said, there are those who contribute with information or assistence for teammembers, and in addition, muting players may result in even more ignorance for game and teamplay. When i´m sunk, i tend to stay in battle and watch other players, either to learn (and ask, if i want to know something), or to aid. Even a dead player can provide valuable information: where was that last DD seen? How much HP has the enemy BB on the other side of the map left? What´s the condition of the teammate out of sight?

Teamchat is important, for the "living" as for the "dead", even if there are individuals who tend to abuse it for their vent of rage (and/or incompetence)...

Removing chat from dead place can be very bad. Especially if you got a player who are being helpfull. They are out there, I have seen them. It's not the chat systems fault that people are being immature ***holes.

I would prefer :

1. something like in WoT where you can turn of chat for yourself so you can't see it, then others can rage all they want.

2. An individual mute/ignore function for each player. If a player starts to insult in the game, just right click him in the team panel, select mute or something and problem solved.

These are the best solutions I can think of that will solve the problem while not preventing helping or just good humored chat.

It won't cure idiots. They will allways be present in online gaming.

This would be such a great add-on for the game. I think turning off the entire chat is a bit extreme, but individual mutes would be a God-Emperor's send.
