As stated above, a apparently slightly tweaked Tashkent. If we knew more, we wouldn't be allowed to say.

Interesting, new DD 🙂 Thanks for info. Do you know perhaps if there are any more DDs coming? Apart from Paolo Emilio if I remember correctly?

Flambass has yesterday* shown it on stream (in-port, no gameplay) and explained detailed stats, guns, torps etc.

So it might be "near-finished"

*EDIT: oh, it´s after midnight, so not "yesterday" but the stream on Thursday, 9th of July 2020

Khaba’s replacement. Khaba going to armory for coal.

Probably....

They would have to seriously buff it though for anyone to spend coal on a Khaba these days.

SAP as a mechanic is an Italian thing. Though they might have been SAP-shells historically soviets "only" get AP shells, as can be seen on the Grozovoi.

Unless ofc I'm wrong, in that case feel free to give me a screen-grab of the R-10 where the shells are classified as SAP or of them working as SAP in a match.

You are right, R-10 only has AP and HE, no SAP.

Exactly what the customers asked for: another piece of russian wet dream design ^^

Lucky me, as I already got all the russian ships I never wanted to have... ^^

Honestly for DDs, I don't mind some napkin designs. None of the Russian DDs is particularly outperforming. It's with the cruisers and BBs where it is ridiculous. Declaring a wet napkin dream ship a naval legend. :fish_palm:

Great video, thanks for sharing.

according to the video.

Sovetsky Soyuz was much more than a wet dream in a napkin.

It turned out to be a forced field exercise, home work for engineers that never built or knew such things, fuelled by Stalin's persuasion, they played catch up , learning as they went.

It was one (among more) of the spark plugs that catapulted USSR into want came next (the cold war).

If you take a look at the state Russia was in the first years of communism, demographics, type of agriculture, industrialization, and so on, you can see they were far behind from all the rest and then they had the Stalin purges, basically they had to start from scratch.

It was impressive even with the help of new blood  after WWII (scientists, blueprints and machinery)

Well purges sure didnt help but its not like the shipbuilders whose last experience were building Gangut class would be of much use drawing up and building a ship that was basically a Ncal/Sodak...

Despite being outdated they still had the know how of several things that could be useful for building modern ships.
