Gems of US dds line?

I never really understood ppl's love for the benson. I never liked it that much.

 

The ones I did: clemson, nicolas, farragut, mahan, fletcher. If you want to "stop" as early in the line as possible, I'd say farragut. Normally I'd recommend mahan, but tier 7 gets so much +2 uptiering these days that I can't do that anymore.

 

I hope you are aware that us DDs aren't in the best spot against CVs, but if you want to play DDs, you probably know that already.

In my opinion Clemson, Nicholas and Farragut are the only ones which still are kind of competitive. Everything above is power crept as f*ck ...the meta and CVs aren't helping either.

What is left of the strengths of the us DD line? A good smoke which can help your team. And that isn't really relevant in randoms. Everything else is much better done by other DDs.

You can still do well in them but then you are mostly an experienced and very good DD player who does well in all of them imo.

My top 3.

 

1. Mahan, unique DD that should be a premium. It's like a tier 7 Benham but better after they buffed the gun reload. Fun and crazy good.

 

2. Fletcher. Still the best all round torp boat? WG messed up the torp reload and never fixed it.

 

3. Farragut. Almost a tiny Fletcher at tier 6 that doesn't have to face off against radar and gets access to pve.
