I just took a -7 karma hit in a game beccause I used an Asashio..can anyone beat that for a reaction from their own team? [SM0KE] Verblonde Players 9,787 posts 20,664 battles Report post #11 Posted June 26, 2020 Asashio might not be an entirely daft choice at the moment, given the massive spike in BB numbers in the queue (plus, 16 km torps - assuming TA - gives you a shout at hitting the CV if it does something silly)? I didn't take mine out because a) they have lousy AA, even by DD standards and b) For me, having torps that hit anything is a bit more useful than being able to annihilate gormless BBs/CVs, but nothing else. I don't think the presence of an Asashio should be an instant -1, but it does require that the team (and the Asashio driver) know to adjust their play style to make the most of her... 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Asashio in Ranked is fine as long as the player remembers he has potent guns and one of the best spotting abilities. In Sprint every ship is fine, it's a fun mode. Torps cannot hit cruisers or destroyers but have default 20km range as well being fast, relatively stealthy and it have a torpedo reload booster that doesnt take smoke slot, now consider the recent additions to modules in particular the ones that gives even more speed to torpedoes and considering how static BB can play and its a very scary ship ... that is as long there are only Battleships around, AA defense is ... lets say it have some AA defense, "some" so CVs can counter it even if they wont like going after DDs if they can avoid that. But it cannot do much against a Cruiser outside give away her position so the Cruiser can kill her. I didnt take as much per 1 game but got something like -25/35 per day (some 15 games) several times, does that count?
