Irony is that I like to play that ship no matter on ''bad performance''.

For me its Grosser Kurfürst.

I like Playing that Ship. And I am actually Pretty Strong Playing that Ship.

Often going out of the Battle with over 100k Damage and 3 Million Damage Tanked against the Enemy.

Always being at the Front with the Ship to make sure that the Enemy keeps Shooting at me and not at my Squishy Teammates.

 

With pretty much all of my Ships my Statistics are Aligned with my Winrate. If I have a Decent Performance I also have a halfwat decent Winrate and Vice Versa. While if I am bad with the Ship my Winrate is Bad as well.

But not on this Ship. Even tough my Performance is Decent on it. My Winrate just refuses to follow up.

Astonishingly enough, when I look at my tier 7+ ships with >100 battles each there is no real "cursed" ship.

 

If however I take a look in between 20 and 99 battles the Moskva and Montana both look bad and I absolute hate the Friesland. Sitting in smoke and spamming HE while abusing team spotting but being mostly useless while smoke is on timer is not my preferred active DD gameplay.

Moskva. I just cannot make it work. Maybe it is the playstyle I am not used to or just the RNG making me crazy

Venezia 44 games, 27,7% WR and I love the ship. Also Ibuki 9 games, 22% WR. I don't think it's about being cursed, it's rather that I played the ships in the wrong way. I stayed too far away from the caps and lost my influence on the game. Also, my play style is to finish off one ship before moving to the next, and these ships are better if used as damage farmers. Double ruddering and getting closer with these ships helps, I think.

Alsace. I do correctly in Richelieu - 56% WR, most of that obtained during the old MM that made the tier 8 often into tier 10 games ; I do correctly in JB - 56 % WR. But Alsace ? Less than 40 % . Same kind of ships, same caliber, same (lack of) armor, same MM, same mobility, but one of these ships just doesn't work for me.

The most infuriating thing is that I broke my personal potential records with Alsace : 3,7 millions tanked. And I manage to do "correct" games with this ship, only to see my team crumble.

 

I even tried HE spam with Alsace (didn't work of course), I am *that* desperate. I don't get Alsace at all.

Maybe you are doing it wrong? Open water gunboat and actively hunt down enemy DDs, also ambushing light cruiser is a hell of a lot of fun. You can melt a cruiser when giving broadside (which most do because they are arrogant and want all guns on you) like there's no tomorrow. This and that Friesland is also the only DD in the game, next to Halland, who actually laughs at most CV players. Only very good CV player in a T10 can give you trouble, but they are rare.

For me it is the Montana. I get unreal losing streak in this ship. When i play it well, my teams melt like snow in a firestorm. When i play bad, it is the enemy teams that die faster than i can hit them. Still love the ship though.

I am almost certain I am doing it wrong, however I have yet to find a way to overcome Frieslands many weaknesses and still having fun while doing so. Terribad concealment (for a DD) means that you usually get outspotted and or first striked if you did not manage to sneak in using an obstacle, which means that all early caps are a no-go. If you aren't avoided at all. Floaty gun arcs need a lot of practice to get used to once you leave short range and may very well prolong engagements beyond healthy levels. Speed may also be lacking to chase down targets. Lack of torpedoes gets you rushed pretty easy and can often not deter an enemy flank from advancing faster than it would versus any other DD. And while you sit in your American smoke and try to utilize your hypothetical DPM (if you actually have a spotter that is) you provide no intel for your team. I know that gun DPM, long smoke & hydro and good AA ought to be your saving graces, however for me this ship does not click, especially in comparison to the last couple of tier 9 DD's I just played pretty well, i.e. Kitakaze (re-grind), Mogador and Östergötland.

After trying to play it for about 10 days, i stopped to play with DD at all.
