All these markings are also drawn from wildly different service times, sometimes overlapping in the same carrier wing.

I believe that Phly Daily has a video on youtube which includes all of the carriers, inc Taiho and Taiho Kai, so you could have a look-see there.

 

'course, once you get to the Keiun and so on, they're such fantasy that the tail markings don't matter for squat.

I tried that, but the image compression rendered the markings illegible.

 

Worst case is that I'll have to fill in the markings for Shoukaku today or tomorrow when I get Shoukaku.
