Apparently, the camo for the 'freemium' Moskva did not come for free and needs to be purchased for 5000 doubloons. I wonder if this is a bug? Or did I miss something? I thought we were getting the Moskva permacamo for free?

Yes, we are awared of that bug and I can assure you, that we are already in the middle of solving this issue. It is possible some small patch will happen for those servers, that already have 0.9.5, but for us there are chances, that we won't face this bug.

We crossquoted each other in 2 separate topics, but might as well (ftr) add here that the permacamo for the Kirov is also missing. Wouldn't want to have to add 2 micropatches right?

Sorry, but I will have to disappoint you. No compensation is planned about this, unless something special would be announced. But so far no planned compensation and no planned announcement.

This "micropatch" would kinda send the permacamos to those who have those ships, regardless if they had it before the update, or not.

No. Dismount the upgrades and sell both ships, you'll get some credits out of them at least.

AIUI after patch 0.9.5 (cough! spit!) goes live, this means that I will have a 19 point captain locked onto Moskava....a ship which now ANY Soviet captain can play on?

If I want to be able to use him on a regular silver ship ( which is the reason that he got all the training) then I need to spend 475 gold, or 190,000 Elite XP to move him.

Is this correct?

 

The way that the Moskva situation has been handles is (for me, at least) the most clumsy and irritating thing that I have ever been a victim of - and I started back in Open Beta!

No, you'll need 200k silver credits and 125k elite commander XP, or zero silver and 250k elite XP, or 500 doubloons.

 

Be glad that his specialisation isn't changed to the Orlan, like WG usually does it.

Well WG scored a perfect 100% for never missing an opportunity to be miserly.

 

Even though everything is virtual and costs them absolutely nothing. Maybe you can't buy favour by being generous, but you sure can make a lot of people angry by being unreasonable.

 

Give all Moskva owners a replacement tech tree ship? Niet.

Give all permaflage owners a refund or equivalent? Niet.

Give all Moskva captains a specialisation for the tech tree ship that they refused to replaced? Niet. Or just give all Moskva owners Doubloons so the commanders can be respecialised? Niet.

Give all Moskva owners silver compensation because you didn't need to actually have the ship in port to receive the Coal version? Niet.

 

Although NTC users were treated generously so even with advanced 3 months notice they didn't need to finish the line grind to even buy the ship.

You only need to spend the gold if you want to completly retrain his skills.

But either way, I am out of pocket. Why do I need to keep a captain specialized to ANY special or Premium ship?

Plus I no longer have a tier 10 silver ship, and the only way to get the replacement for Moska is to play the Dmnitri **!!Grr**! Donskoi again (an experience I do not want to go through again).

 

Due to illness I have not played the game since April 9th. This does not  make me enthusiastic avout returning any time soon.

Don't get me wrong. I am standing with everyone who thinks that WG does the ship exchange wrong this time.

 

They should have kept the procedure they used in the past, for the US-Cruiser or RU-DD split for example. Which exchanged the removed ship with the new one, and if a permacamo on the old ship was purchased, the new ship recieved one as well.

 

Now Wargaming wants us to regrind and repurchase the stuff they have taken away. Which is a top end silver ship and a perma camo to make it economically viable to play. If only they told us why they no longer do it like they used to in the past.
