Selling Moskva now with all her upgrades (or even demounting them) just to get some credits... will those even cover the cost of buying all the upgrades again? Certainly not spending dubs to dismount this stuff.

 

Regarding the Unique Upgrades changes: Will the slots they affect be automatically demounted or do I have to pay to change an upgrade that has been altered so I no longer want to use it?

can anybody here tell me where in the WGC I can see history of downloads/updates ? I can see messages that updates are available but that's about it ... no entries about downloads ... I am still wondering why we were forced to change to this think when there's no advantage for the end user ...

Well what about those who have the ship in their port? (almost automatically assuming we'll keep it, but I can't tell from the bloody notes. Do I need to sell it to get my ship? :P

If you have the Kirov in port then she will be taken away without any compensation. Sell her before thursday and you'll get half your credits back. You will get the premium Kirov anyway.

You don't have to sell anything, if you don't want to. You'll keep both ships with a different status, one premium, the other special. Only if you want to grab some credits, you can sell Moskva (8,3 million, if I remember) but, do the math before. As another guy said before, I'm not sure if it compensate the price to pay for demounting the upgrades.

I assume most people never check the news and don't know what ports are available, that's why they change the personal game settings for all players. It would be too much of a hassle to implement something for the handful of people who hate that, they have more important stuff to work on that affects a lot more players. I'm fine with making a couple of clicks to change it back, especially now that the port UI actually does stuff when you click something.

Proposed workaround if you don't want to see the new port at all:

1. Copy your preferences.xml to a safe location before you download the update.

2. Update the game to 0.9.5.

3. Edit your backup preferences.xml and the updated one in your game folder (backup the new xml as well if you want to make sure nothing goes wrong). Search both for 'port_preset' and put whatever you had in your backup into the updated preferences.xml. The lines look like this:

 

 

4. Save the updated preferences.xml and start the game.

 

For testing I changed 'nagasaki' (Zipangu) to 'hamburg' and when I started the game my port was indeed Hamburg. I changed the port back to Zipangu in-game, checked the preferences.xml and it was back to the old value.

Småland, Hayate, Shikishima, California, Ägir, Siegfried, FDR Rosfeldt, Leone are ships that eventually will apear in premiumshop as admiralpack. Otherwise the flag wouldn't be in the logbook. because that is the only way to get the flag. there is a lot of flags in there.

Have WG learned that 2 miljon fxp was a to high prise or is Ägir less good then Småland and Hayate. The same with Siegfried 47000 RP. Minus 20000 RP from colbert and Ohio. I guess it will take 4 month  to research it if waiting for doubble reseach points. I thought they had given up new ships in RB. Obviosly not.

What is the meaning of collecting the ships when you allready have the emblem for 250 ships it's time to upgrade the emblems. soon there will be 400 ships in game.

About Dasha it is unfair that she is not italian nor swedish

I think it's now time  to anounce when those converted steelships will become available for coal.

There is a lot of patches and flags that you cant get. make them available for some missions.

Ägir is tier 9, the two DDs are tier 10...

I actually never thought getting Siegfried, but I am lacking only few thousand research points's after obtainting Nevsky. This makes her more tempting even my sight has been set for Äegir for 1 mil free XP. But I am actually happy that Ship building is back. I am just hoping they will keep the directives as we have seen. They are doable unlike PR's.

This usually happens when there is a new port (last time Novorossijsk). As far as I know, we don't have a new port introduced now, so it shouldn't change. If it does, please write it to Current Update section.

Yes, this Aurora camo is designed specially to Moskva.

Yes, of course you will keep it. You don't need to sell it. Selling the ship is just the way, how to get some credits back, but definitely it is not mandatory.

If that's the way the port change is done, than I'll be save from now on. Due to the way I update the client on my PC, the preference.xml remains unchanged anyway.

I only posted my request because in the past we had a small timeframe of maybe half a year where such port changes did appear in the patch notes. This practice was later abandoned again.

If the workaround posted by Ze_Reckless works, I'll not witness any more forced port changes ever.

I assume that it also applies to the moskva,that you just have to own it once, like the Kirov. I just reset the branch after the update video Clip. Will I get the moskva now?
