Makarov in the shop

Just as the title says. If someone missed her previously, she's available in the premium shop  again. Since she is rarely seen on sale, it is a good opportunity to add her to a collection.

He’s  a hull C Nurnberg.

Why was he removed from sale?

Perhaps because it was part of the Russian subscription service?

Nürnberg copy. Or infact it is the Nürnberg but under new management since it was taken by Soviets after ww2 as prize. It has a bit different AA though.

Basically nothing, beyond rarity... its a collectors piece, unless you've always wanted a Soviet Nurnberg... on the plus side unlike 90% of Soviet tech tree ships she is REAL.

Well thanks for the reminder, it’s the only really lower tier that I miss ( whale alert) and I might scoop this up to make sure the Xmas crates can only cough up T8 and higher.

She is currently the only Russian premium light cruiser which you can bring to a T6 scenario if i'm right.

Both are ok and Nürnberg is no tankier than Molotov. Molotov is faster though, has better AP performance in terms of pen and ballistics.

Molotov is a slightly improved Kirov

Makarov is a slightly improved Nurnberg

 

Both are glass cannons as most T6 cruisers are, neither has heal afaik

Does the Makarov retain the German HE pen? If so it might fit less with your Sov captains having IFHE.

Yes she is Nurnberg with CCCP flag

Molotov = Kirov with Dimitrij Donskoi guns (T9) So a T5 upgraded to T6 due to its guns.. platform stays at T5 though.

Makarov=  Nürnberg C hull with only small chanages to aa. Most of the time Nürnberg players prefer B hull due to extra set of torps on both sides..like that extra aa is relevant now...

Honestly it doesnt really matter if you use B or C hull IMHO, if you are broadsiding within torp range to fire them in Nurnberg it means two things a) something already went terrebly wrong and b) its about to get worse

Same gameplay as Nurnberg. Though WG should give it 8km torps instead of the 6km. Cause unlike the Nurnberg - Makarov has standard 4km ship detection hydro. And you have only 3 torps per side (like C hull Nurnberg).
