What Battleships line do you guys reccomend me?

Right, hello everyone. After a few years I've came back to the game. I started playing this game in 2016 I believe. 

 

I've recently came back to the game, and I see alot of new lines (ships).

 

Right now im with the KriegsMarine, I already have tier V, and I have the tirpitz.

 

My playstyle is tanky,  but also sniping from a distance. 

 

What line do you guys recomend to me? I don't mind leaving germany be.

Well basically ,

IJN BB line=long range

US BB line=medium range

KM BB line= close range

French BB line = underwhelming ap given low gun caliber but republique is awesome . My alpha with republique is 317k dmg xdd

UK bb line = fire starters

RU BB line = strong close and bow in  (that stance means that you are committed and if you are committed you better make sure you have the advantage but if you dont have the advantage  or you dont  knw whether you have the advantage dont commit)

The russian BBs are the strongest, because of their superior bow armor and small super structure. The mid tiers have a "bad" citadel, but later, the Kremlin has even a good citadel. I would say, that the ru BBs are by far the strongest BBs.

 

The germans are considered as tanky ships, because of their turtle back armor, and good secondaries. But they are still huge and easy to hit targets, So they still get a lot dmg, not like the ru BBs.

I would recommend Roma. You wont hit a thing, but it will make you laugh. I genuinely play Roma because of my low expectations of performance .. which makes good games all that sweeter.

 

I think I've rammed more ships in my Roma then all my other ships combined … mainly because its more reliable than my guns.

KM BB line is close range but can work mid range (10-15kms) too.

Forget about IJN being long range as you aren't helping anyone in your team by sniping targets 20+km away and not scoring hits...

I would chime in that for tankiness the British line ends at the top. The super heal will let you soak up amounts of damage that would sink any other BB twice over. Some may say the british BBs are squishy, but its still BB grade armor protection, and the usual angling rule apply.

Btw having decent AP and glorious tea bag HE is a nice.

Americans are a good choice. Strong ships through all tiers and you get your gems at tier 8 (north Carolina), tier 9 Iowa, and the tier 10 Montana.

None superior and none are sub par.

Low tier <6 they arent great though.

I suggest you stick around T6-7 before you jump to T8 and above, or you will be a big problem to your team mates. Tier 8 gameplay is vastly different from lower tiers.

At low-mid tiers they out-range everything. At higher tiers they have best long-range accuracy and then yamato she can efficiently  dev strikes a cv as far as 28km . However  IJN line overall is quite flexible despite what I just said but yes, generally prefers to be played over 15km and under 20.

Russain BBs are for now the strongest. That Kremlin is a joke, a bad one.

Tier 4 UK Orion is fun to play, it's a firestarter and has good AA.

Tier 5 Okt. Revol. is small, well armored and has good AP. Also good AA

Tier 6 Normandie. Allmost as fast as a cruiser, good guns and decent armor. Bad AA

Tier 7 Lyon is like Normandie but with more guns and better AA

 

 

I'm mostly a tier 4-5-6 player so I can't tell anything about the higher tiers.

for a new player under 500 games, stay at tier 6 and try different BBs.

Didn't fare to well for my Kremlin, the other day which was out ranged by a Yamato, the pounced upon by a Smolenski and burned to a cinder, people scream OP Kremlin, needs a spotter plane to give it the extra range boost, then it may earn it's OP moniker.

But on topic, at tier 5 and 6, try Japanese or French, the American stuff only get interesting from tier 8 upwards.

Imo kremlin vs yamato which is better? it all depends upon the individual skill and the ability to exploit each others vulnerabilities . Thats why I like montana she has decent accuracy and very tanky build with spotter helps you dev strikes pesky he spammers behind rocks and inside smoke both . kremlin can also do that but with spotter its hell lot easier xdd

I prefer to play my Yamato at about 12-16km

I recommend submarine battles, they are fun to play. No need to change anything else, "sniping from a distance" is still the winning strategy and german BBs excel at it. Just remember: Submarine Battles. They also give more XP than random battles, so you can grind to T10 even faster and be even more successful, since you get even bigger ships.
