To be fair, earning a minimum of 14,000 credits in a tier 10 ship to offset the minimal service fee and ammunition costs doesn't exactly seem like a difficult proposition.

If tier 10 was profitiable for F2P players than low/mid tiers would become de-populated. 

 

Easy fixes :

 

- Use flags / camo's that increase your income and or reduce your post battle costs.

 

- Invest in a premium account and or perma-camo for your tier 10's.

 

- Invest in a tier 8 or 9 premium. You lost like 15k here. 1 Game in something like an Alaska will cover this sort of loss for dozens of games.

There is no reason to play anything above Tier 8 to have fun in WOWS.

 

For a one time expense of only +/- 3,000 golden doubloons you can buy a PERMANENT premium camouflage for:

 

- WLADIWOSTOK

- SHOKAKU

 

With that PERMANENT premium camouflage you turn your regular "silver" tech tree ship into a "gold" premium ship. Just keep playing those and your silver doubloon problems will be over for good.

 

Or alternatively get yourself a good Tier 8 Premium and in no time your silver doubloon problems will be over.

 

I suggest these Tier 8 Premium ships:

 

- MASSACHUSETTS

- LENIN

 

If you like to try your hand at Carriers:

 

- SAIPAN

- KAGA

 

You get discount coupons for golden doubloon ships in the armory every six months or so and a special discount coupon once a year in the week that your first made your WOWS account.

that is a cost for tier 8 tech tree ship with perma camo!

I have no problems to finance T10 battles - even in coop. I (involuntarily) use T8 ships for those battles, after all.

Not really: if I understand correctly, you were suggesting that the service costs of T10s are outrageous because they - supposedly - cause you to lose silver.

 

They don't on their own, but are relevant in the context of the rest of the economics for a game. Hence premium account is relevant to the discussion as it offsets your costs by increasing your 'top line'; how good a game you have also has a significant impact - do plenty of damage, make more silver (top line again); fail to do much to the enemy and you make much less silver.

 

This stuff about the economics of higher tier games is hardly new though: the whole thing is set up to 'encourage' you to either pay money, or prop up the server numbers at more middling tiers where it's easier to generate the silver to fund your higher tier ships. I'm a mediocre player at best, and running premium account and permaflage* on my T10s, I regularly make more silver in a T10 battle than I do in a T8 premium...

 

 

 

*Wisdom of buying T10 permaflage currently rather less cut and dried (see endless Moskva discussions).

I really don't see the problem with investing in a premium account, it's well worth the money and pays WG back for the time and effort they put into this game.
Nearly every other item (esp. ships) in the premium shop however, now those are overpriced..

You could always choose to play Tier 10 Co-op matches in the Training Room, because they cost you nothing and the experience is basically the same...

T10 ship -> 180k service cost

T10 special ship -> 90k (-50% base)

T10 special ship in CO-OP* -> 67.5k (-25% on top)

Flags, Camo ect for another -90% -> 6.750

Or you're free to explain to me how you get that exact servicing cost in another way, because I can't think of one on top of my head.
