Ranked Battles: the Sixteenth Season, general discussion

My first experiences:

Queue is full of BBs, but I've seen 2-3DDs, 2-3 cruisers and 3BBs in matches. So far the only Sinop I've seen was mine, lot of Gneisenaus and British BBs. No Belfast spotted.

There are a lot of Atlantas, Indianapolis and Belfasts, DDs are pretty much extinct..

Entered a game in my Belfast. Took all of 5 minutes to receive an oncological diagnosis of my ship in All Chat... 

 

And it's all true of course. Odd how after all the shifts in meta over the years, the Belfast is still able to break any T7-exclusive environment.

lol, 2nd game in (2 x loss mainly cos SINOPS believing what the community said)  no DD's to be seen. 1 x kill on Belfast, cit'd SINOP x 2, general damage on Hood (he kept stopping to go out of my range...) and damage to Atlanta, can't hit Shshlors for real money (constant throttle duking).

 

Finished 2nd highest, high calibre. Got reported by some glue eater who finished 6th. Its going to be fun.  Maybe they didn't like my Nagato moving forward?

Let's see, a lemming train that's trying to get to the next map while pinging me to cap A and B. I do 99k damage with torps, we lose with only 1 kill. 

 

A Lyon who was playing hide-and-seek with a scharnhorst, everybody kept telling him to just move away as I was there to torp scharn very quickly. Decides to charge the scharn the moment I have launched my torps. Guess what happens?

 

An atlanta and another scharn who I torpe. A victory! Yes!

 

Another Lyon who I torp, but on the enemy team. Accidentally while trying to kill akitzuki. I dodge his IJN torps by some miracle from 3 km, but the islands prevent me from turning enough to torp him and Z-39 guns just suck. Meanwhile the entire team except for a full HP cruiser seeking the next map, is dead.

 

Seems fun!

Probably because you didn't move your Nagato backward.

You should hit reverse from start of battle to dodge report.

Guess I will do the same like in every other game: Block all messages even before game starts. Will be a little less work with only 13 players to mute instead of 23...

Played three ranked battles so far, two of them in my Haida, one of them in my newly acquired Sinop (bought especially for the occasion, although I suspect she makes me look fat), and all of them lost. It's just the way it is... I will make another effort by and by!

Can someone explain me why am I rank 18 now (last rank) if I played last Ranked and finished with rank 4?

I thought 18 in this season is only for new players.
