According to the NA forum, you get less than 10 tokens per container, on the average. With 60 containers (600 tokens) you can only get the Mikoyan, a port queen level ship, not even the T8 camo. Alternatively, you can get 60 expendable camos.

During the Italian cruiser event, I was able to get the Mikoyan level T5 premium ship (Genova), a T6 and a T7 premium camo (same worth as a T8 premium camo), and 120 expendable camos. (and the T6 cruiser (Trento), but I was not expecting to get a T8 cruiser this time)

Expressed in tokens, we have a 600:1900 ratio so now we have only 32% of rewards compared to the Italian cruiser event. (and I was not counting the Trento)

Ah the Italian cruiser event was a nice one. I got the Genova and Montecuccoli, as well as permaflages for the Tiers 5 to 8 ships. Never got so lucky in later events though. Still, any reward is better than nothing I guess.

Getting 10 on average would be a bad move by WG unless they plan on selling more tokens.

Currently we can buy 2200 tokens and get 60 containers. If it proofes that you get below 10 tokens on average, then there is 0 reason to whale for the Petro Camo (a camo that does look decent for my taste).

Like who is going to whale if they cannot even get their goal?

And I am a person who considers perma camos the fairest way for monetization in a game and will go out off his way to get camos.

There are the lottery boxes. You can get 700 tokens, 1:100 chance, or 150 tokens, 4:100 chance, the rest is not worth mentioning. Each box is for 500 doubloons.

I did the box math, the second we got the box numbers and you can buy 2200 tokens. 2200 + 600 = 2800 < 2850 which is my entire reasoning I find it questionable.

However I also remembered something, wasnt there a packet in the shop when european DDs came out that also had tokens in them?

If we get a packet with 550 tokens in from shop I will void any of my complaints, because my only reason for currently complaining is that getting the main reward with the current setup is purely RNG.

During Update 0.9.4, missions for additional Soviet Tokens will be available for cruisers Ochakov, Pyotr Bagration, and Mikoyan. Completing all missions for the ships of the bundle will reward you with 2,100 Soviet Tokens, which is enough to obtain four out of the six sequentially available Soviet Cruisers bundles. One of the four bundles will provide Early Access to the new Tier VIII cruiser, Tallinn. You can find detailed information on the official website and in the Combat Missions section of the game client.

From the NA shop (OK now its on the EU side too)

Before I search all that propaganda stuff in vain... is there anything inside those "Soviet Containers" other than a ridiculously small amount of tokens for the acquisition of WG's latest dreamt-up origami jokes? If not, I will gladly skip the entire event.

So you're willing to fork out 50000 doubloons to get the TX perma camo that you can buy for 5000 doubloons?

It seems we get 420 from playing the Mikoyan, which is important to note. (would need somebody to confirm this who can see ingame missions currently not able to start my client).

(Basing this on the fact that both T8 prems get missions for 840 tokens and the packet that includes both off them and Mikoyan says something about missions for 2.1k tokens from the 3 ships)

So if that is true WG hid some free tokens we get, which would be a rather pleasent surprise. With those 420 tokens you would safely get the T8 camo even as a F2P with only 5 tokens per container.

I assume that this like PR camo is a camo you cannot buy after the event. Because it doesnt look like a standard 5k camo to me.

Also I understand WG needs to make money and if I have to pick one thing I support, Camos are place 1. They dont put new players into T9 ships and they shouldnt give any unfair advantages.

I remember reading 150 on the NA forum. Needs to be checked.

Yeah definitly worth reading into, I based it on the packet saying 2100 and the fact the 2 T8 prems both get missions for 840.

Wouldnt put it over myself to missread something, while I am in a hurry scanning through it.

The thing is WG thinks that their early access content is worth the money:Smile_sceptic:. Wargaming is so funny in a sad way!

if they did try to build them; they would be sold to India or China half built.  Perhaps for use as a super-casino [cough cough].

Guess it's safe to ignore this event, I'm focused on regular grinding and the time-gated campaign anyway. If I manage to finish some directives while focusing on my priorities, I guess that is unavoidable then. :Smile_sad:

And still everyone is buying all the stuff that WG puts for sale at these early access events. I ask you, who really are the sad people?

See, this is why WG refuse to use number seperators. 50'000 and 5'000 are easy to confuse without a seperator and whales don't have a 20/20 vision, so they very likely fall for this trap. :Smile_trollface:

Am whale and can confirm my vision is bad (over 8 diopter).

Still with the new informations we got there is a better whale solution, get the 2 T8 prems and farm the 2.1k tokens from ships. After that whale the last bundles needed.

This way I have to pay roughly half the doublons (and I already had 10k lying around from various stuff like supercontainers) while getting 2 T8 Prems I would have gotten anyways.

According to the game you can complete the challenge only seven times per ships; (30+30+15) = 75 * 7 = 525 < 2.100 ?

For 2.800 the challenge should be available everyday for this patch (2.100 / 75 = 28). Or did I missed another mission?
