While for me it's very underwhelming and kind of reflects some sort of laziness from WG (instead of coming up with something new, they take a ship and change a few things; its' nothing new to WoWS, but whatever).

 

It said on reddit that she trades the aircrafts for Tirpitz torps and "improoved" AA, with the quad MK-103s (see image below; love that muzzle brake btw )

 

I hope that she'll have at least 2.0 sigma, otherwise she's going to be a worse FdG imo. 

 

however, i do have a bit of hope for it tho, due to the fact that she's going to be fo coal and so far WG never screwed up any Coal ship, in fact every coal ship (i mean Tier 5 and above) is from decent to just BS, so i hope that thet don't screw this one up.

Que in sup bar (even for German ships) gun firing angles, main guns rivaling Mikasa in derpyness and 35s or so reload on those 380mm guns... which I remind got directly nerfed by the plating change that increased 27mm and thicker plating on cruisers

 

(IMO, they should have given the CA's 30mm upper belt and central deck instead of the mixed 27mm/30mm, as ships posessing 406mm guns are bit more common at T8-T10 vs 380mm gun ships)

If such a thing came to pass, I'd probably be persuaded (if it wasn't unutterably awful) - I only really play CVs in Ops, which means I always have a use for T6, especially if they're premium...

I mean to be fair I didn't see the stats but FDG with those 380 and fast reload is a pretty decent ship in right hands.

Well that is..interesting. Would need to see more about her to decide if it's interesting in a good way or a bad way.

 

As far as the name is concerned, eh the man was something of a national hero after WW1 (how much he deserved to be considered that is neither here nor there) and a dedicated National Socialist, so, yea, I can see the KM naming a ship after him..

Well Early prototype GZ design is nice for T6. Biggest CV at T6, I hope she gets Stuka's as well.

 

But T9 BB looks bad. Armor wise she's good and maybe turret angles maybe improved because of removal of hangar and Torpedos but she still looks like downgraded FDG. No AA, Worse reload, Smaller guns, Worse Rudder shift with 22 seconds(instead 17.5 seconds of FDG). 

 

I wish we got H42 rather then this imaginary BB again but let's not loose hope.

Guns are identical to Bismarcks. But 4x3 guns with 32s reload instead of 4x2 with 26s reload and 1km longer range than FDG.

 

Gun angles are even worse than FDGs.

 

Torpedos are the same as Tirpitz in terms of speed, damage and range (6km range, 64knts). Launcher angles are slightly better than Tirpitz.
