Ye, in 0.9.5 Moskva is getting switched out of the tech tree.

We already answered it several times on forums, live on stream, on the dev blog and as soon as we are getting closer to it, will will announce details on the portal.

You will get Moskva if you have here right now and even if you don't have her bought right now or if you reset the line. All that is important is that you actually had her researched before the switch.

The vast majority of the game is available completely for free and so will the tech tree ships be, once the Early Access phase is over. You can buy premium-goods, which make you progress faster or make your ship's exterior stand out, but we cannot just offer everything for free. ;) Developers prefer to not only live off of bread and water.

There are some very good games that give more things for free than yours and don't lie or induct to the ludopathy. The difference is thay have a brain inside their head, they use it, and don't drink too many vodka.

Early Access to OPness? Powercreep? Watch the Stampede. Me? I'll just grab some jetsam (or is it flotsam?) and wait for the full free tech tree release.

If there's something the Russians actually built on offer, I likely will strive for that. However, I certainly won't be suckered into buying anything from 'WF'.

So the Worcester's radar was nerfed to 9km as Wargaming wanted to remove the ability to stealth radar but keep giving us Soviet ships with stealth radar.

Am not going to mention bias as this obviously isn't the case :fish_nerv:

Minimum vs average tokens per container

The article says that if I get all 60 containers, I'm guaranteed a T5 Premium Mikoyan. The miniumum per container is 5 and 5x60 = 300 = Mikoyan. Fair enough.

However, than doesn't tell me what I really need to know.

What is the average number of tokens per container is going to be?,

Specifically, is this enough to reach 1200 for the Tailinn? This is because the real question for this event is whether the player will have to grind the Shchshchors again to get into the branch split. If we knew the different probabilities for collecting 5, 10,15,25 and 300 tokens from a container, then the event would be far more transparent.

A second problem I have is that, whilst I don't mind some randomness (or the Shchshchors, for that matter), I dislike that grinding 60 containers will give one player "only" a T5 premium, but the same 60 containers may give another player far, far more. If the token splits were 15,25 and 100, with an equal chance between 15 and 25, it would be far less objectionable. That being said, British CV early was the best organised event in which I've taken an active part.

1: I have enough XP and credits to buy the Tallinn on release but in this I have to use my tokens for her if I want the Riga. Too bad I can't "skip" the Tallin and get the Riga for tokens and use my XP that I worked for. Waste of effort.

2: 5/10/15/25/300 tokens per box is the kind of lottery I don't want to see. If you do the task you should get the reward, not a lotteryticket for a possible reward.

3: "Cruisers flag_Russia_6ce701e1c2f2ac3909a68a0a7b23premium_1114542bcd311c388080eea3a4d54a7eVIII Ochakov and flag_Russia_6ce701e1c2f2ac3909a68a0a7b23premium_1114542bcd311c388080eea3a4d54a7eVIII Pyotr Bagration will be available in the Armory in exchange for doubloons."  Is it really doubloon or are they gonna be put in it's own category so we can't use our coupons again?

4: "Random Bundles" Again, lottery.

My average for Euro Destroyers 1 was around 30 tokens per container (including about three max-token drops), which judging by reports from a bunch of other people on the forum at the time was if anything a little more than average. Then again, that event had 30- and 40-token drops in the random bundles, so it was possible to just get more tokens more regularly.

One other point: the highest possible token amount from a bundle was 140 (vs. 40 for next highest), not the frankly ludicrous 275 difference between highest and second here. Can only imagine that they've made 300-token drops much rarer in consequence (particularly as getting one would just give you the MiG straight away vs. 200 tokens for Visby last time), so I doubt it's worth counting on getting one...

I can live with spending money  in game on loot boxes/micro transactions if there is no Chance/RNG involved and Everyone gets the same but, I don't gamble in the real world so I'm not gambling in ANY game company's La-La Land, As for any Russian Bias of course it does not exist just compare The Mighty Cheshire to these feeble Soviet T8 offerings

As for the number of tokens in the Containers in the euro Destroyers 10 seemed to prevail

The problem people have is the token disparity, if you guys want to sell EA with tokens so people that want EA to Tier IX would have to buy then that would be one thing ... rng on pay-only containers is gambling and disgusting.

Everybody will get T5 "for free" via tokens, but how many will get anything more?

I'm only honestly interested in getting a perma camo if possible - the rest is just bonus.

Little bit of a side note.

During the VE 75 event - we haven 8 different missions that reward with perma camo. Out of them, only 3 are tech tree, the rest are premium. So, you'd like us to grind for ships that already come with camo?

Why doesn't WG just make missions for camos that can be used at our own discretion, like the New Year/PR campaign? Anywhere from T5-T8.

I agree entirely with your last point.

In the Euro DDs I got enough tokens for the Vasteras, I think I was about 6 containers short of max as I didn't complete of the huge base XP missions. It also gave me a bunch of european camos.

I might take a similar attitude into this event. If I get 1200, I'll get the Tallinn, if I only get, say 1000, I'll get 100 camos and no premiums. I'll have the premium Kirov be the end of the event, and I'm not sure what I'll be missing in not having another Russian cruiser tier V premium, particularly as I hardly play mid-tier premiums. Why play a premium when I could be grinding New York or Mutsuki?

As long as there are people who buy this , they will continue with this events. The less luck you have the more money they will get. ah greed...

i just repeat myself once on this: reconsider decision of not giving old perma camo owners of moskva the perma camo for the tech tree substitute!... neither consistent, nor welcome in any way (aKa: go milk a cow, not me :Smile-_tongue:!)...

I love cruisers, I like Soviet ships (*cough*laser guided shells are nice), I want to have something positive to look forward too and...

You can't choose premium-camos bundles separately from ship bundles? How lame.  So that's another low priority event for me. Since beginning of this year one event after another I have no or negligible interest. Mikoyan+Tallin camo and it's done. From earlier rumors I'd expected that I wasted my time with Shchors to unlock Tallinn immediately and WG delivered exactly disappointment I predicted...

I don't even mention 5000 doubloons Moskva robbery, stalinium AP, stealth radar thingy and deadly T8 premium Smolensk - I'm sure T6 ships will be especially thrilled with it.:fish_panic:

These ships better not be another Smolensk or Kremlin (soviet bbs in general), or have the same impact on the game as these ships. So far it looks hilariously overpowered and the only downside, the dispersion, will probably only be the horizontal one and not vertical. Hence another tweak of the game from WG to exploit game mechanics like with the overpenetations on Smolensk or Kremlins ridiculous 60 mm armor. Seems close enough, but its on the other side of the important threshold…

I’m honesly so tired of this constant Russian inferiority complex, the 12 km radar already breaks an important threshold which makes most of the DDs ineffective on high tier gameplay. Compared to all other shiplines in any nationtree, the game would be much better off if Soviet line disappeared completely, with probably the DD-line as the exception.

To keep playing in WG:s wet dream of a superior Soviet fleet that never existed is starting to feel like a waste of time. The CV-meta is already pushing it to the limit. Sure WG, introduce your paperships if you have to, but for the love of god BALANCE them. You make the country that pioneered in space exploration, look weak and in need of pampering. You don’t have to overcompensate, everyone knows Soviet was the decisive force that won WW2. Why go this low?

Yes, also, with the avergae droprate of these new boxes and the reduced minimum payout compared to the EU ones it is statistically impossible to get the tier 8 for free. You need, on average, 40 additional boxes.

dayum that RNG component, from 5 to 300 tokens :cap_wander:

And we thought european boxes had big gaps in rewards.

So somebody who is lucky and gets 3 boxes of 300 tokens almost already has Talinn. Meanwhile somebody who grinds like a slave after 20 boxes doesn't even have camo for Talinn yet.
