Strange mystery of unknown origin

Hi,

I feel like the power creep is immense these days. Just take a look at my fight with Yoshino: salvo after salvo, citadel after citadel and it does not want to die.

Then comes the fight with Puerto Rico. I mean look at what happened, the PR was not angled.

Sure, I was not angled but how many citadels he did: seven citadels, ten citadels? It is ridiculous compared to what I did/did not to the Yoshino. You just can't beat this. The bigger caliber always wins.

But the best is yet to come ...

Here is my struggle with the Smolensk. Moskva is supposed to be a what, heavy cruiser, a battlecruiser? It barely scratches the Smolensk.

Now it is no problem for me if there are fantasy ships but these are ... "fantasy" fantasy ships. The eponymous RNG is not random at all. It is made to behave in a certain way with certain ships.

And there is the dessert. Am I supposed to win?

I installed the client on Friday but I feel I am going to uninstall today. No way I continue to play and certainly no way I pay for this game.

Well PR has a way lower citadel than yoshino, thats one of the things which make PR unique. The issue here is not that much powercreep but the fact that Yoshino is a completely different ship compared to PR. And yoshino never was that monster of a ship.

There is an explanation for everything, isn't it?  :cap_cool:

Just dodge the torpedoes, just don't pick a fight with ships like Smolensk, Yoshino, and the PR. Just shoot the battleships no less than 150 times before they die, etc, etc ...

He also has Musashi, so the account is a bit older. But Moskva is only T10 ship.

Look my account is not from Friday, I took a break for similar reasons. And I don't have a Musashi, I hired it for a day.

Where are they mysteries?

Ships are angled --> ships get less damaged

Ships are broadside and shooter aims well --> ships gets punished

The thing with just dodge isnt my Idea....

Smolensk was bad RNG, but ap bombs just devastate you in Moskva.

The way to handle the Smolensk with large calibre naval guns is high explosive. That does the trick.

Alternatively use 152mm AP.  Minotaur eat up Smolensks!

Hindenburg does wonders against the little Soviet CL with its larger 203mm AP too.

Dude, the mystery is that I shot these three ships broadside and they did not die.

PR was not broadside, you were.

You shot citadels on Azuma. What else do you expect? When you want more, aim better.

The Smolensk has very little armour and is as thin in the beam as a destroyer.

This means that any large calibre armour piercing shells will over-penatrate the broadside Smolensk. Therefore the best possible protection shr can have to a battleship/battle cruiser is be fully broadside.

But why I did not do like 50K on the Azuma? Why it never happens?

Lol Puerto Rico has American AP. You did a huge mistaking giving it a broadside even with its stormtrooper dispersion. Rule of thumb never give broadside if you can at all avoid it.

Check you guns in port. The maximum damage of an AP shell is when it hits the citadel. You only hit one citadel.

So RNG does not work on a salvo level but on a game level. In other words, some games you are made to have worse RNG - some games you are supposed to lose.

So it's not really that random this RNG ...

I count 216 citadells. oh. no, wait! 217! there was one more hiding at the bottom of the pic. missed it at first.

You either aimed wrong or were just unlucky. If that never happens, then you aim wrong.

WG does not issue a guarantee that all broadside ships are deleted in one salvo.

Well, very good. Though it shows exactly what I said. Your Moskva was somewhat angled and the Stalingrad, eponymously OP, took half of your HP.
