So the next time you encounter them you know they are bad and should not be counted on. Save the reports for afk people What does the blocked list actually do? I never use that kind of thing in games.
[THESO] CptMinia Moderator, Players, Privateer 1,427 posts 11,696 battles Report post #27 Posted May 1, 2020 Hello, In my opinion the whole reporting system we have in-game is mostly just to let players vent at others. I don't think reports and compliments serve any other purpose apart from venting or complimenting folks and the ability for WarGaming to be able to tell who is a regular trouble maker and who is not. Something that I assume is loosely checked when people are reported through customer support or who appeal a chat or game ban. Though I'm not 100% sure of this, whether those are the only two reasons or if WG check folks' karma levels. Note that as you get more karma you do unlock more compliments and reports to a maximum of 11, I don't know what the figure is to get that high but I know I have it and have 200+ karma. Anyway if you genuinely wish to report someone for a good reason and not just because they outplayed you, then best way to do it is through customer support. Kind regards, Minia

Kind regards, Minia The people I generally report are people who just playing extremely bad, like BBs that go on a luxury cruise on spawn or sometimes entire lemming trains that go and camp behind islands and then insta-lose the game. Don't think I can report those to costumer support. But I feel a bit better when I can at least report them.

Then the system has failed, all everyone wants is to play a game, and to report, or compliment with the least amount of time and effort (distracting from game time), I’d rather a WG official spend time fixing one of the many niggles, like the karma system, than investigate and ban someone who’s frustrated as a result of their own failings or another’s.
[R7S] lovelacebeer Players 4,158 posts 25,223 battles Report post #31 Posted May 1, 2020 The problem is karma and reports in general are pretty much a vent, it allows you to blow off some steam but it doesn't affect those people you report, if they are playing that badly they will probably have 0 karma in the first place. As for those of us who are at best average players but trying to do our best (this is very much me) reports are something we collect from sensitive souls who dont appreciate being killed by us. Honestly I believe the only way to incentive plays to play better would be to tweak the in game economy to give a greater reward to spotting, capping, defending and tanking and even then I'm not sure that would fix anything and might even unfairly penalise BB players. Best we can do is when players are deliberately being a pain is to report them to suppor, but generally someone being useless I fear there is no cure for.

Figment Beta Tester 3,801 posts 10,499 battles Report post #34 Posted May 1, 2020 I've noticed playing CVs or playing really well makes your Karma go down. Got a kraken and 157K in Amagi: reported 6 times by enemies and our CV who wanted Kraken for himself, but got stuck at 4 and got 2 compliments from team mates. I'm sorry, what's the point of this system again?

Aetius85 Players 1,299 posts 18,700 battles Report post #37 Posted May 1, 2020 I think also the karma should go below 0, so there would be differentiation between medium players and bot-like ones which will reach -2000 (maybe automatic block of pvp could be done after reaching a certain negative treshold)

[TACHA] triumphgt6 Players 1,870 posts 22,592 battles Report post #41 Posted May 1, 2020 Never run out of reports - could do will more compliments though. I do report AFK and F key spammers , people abusing others and did report a chunk of one team where they all disappeared and hid behind an island at the very south for no good reason - I was reported for engaging the enemy! Karma 460.
