To be honest, I have the same experience with Smaland. It is very team dependent,  if you want to play it as a DD hunter. Otherwise, you go around sailing and torping - but even when you land all 6 tops, BBs just shrug it off and caries on sailing.... 

 

That being said, it offers different gameplay and I hope that my WR changes....

Very true, and I don't really object to things being gated such that only a small proportion of the players can get them (I've been playing WOT for even longer than I've been playing WOWS, so I'm fully familiar with the notion), by - for instance - being very good at the game, playing in clans etc.

 

However, I think it gets shady when you can simply spend money to skip whatever the 'gate' is - that smacks of taking advantage of people with poor impulse control (via free xp conversion, selling dragon flags etc.), or at least it does when the price is so ludicrous.

 

To be clear, I don't have any problem with WG making money (go look in my port/garages and you won't find a shortage of premiums), but it should most certainly be ethical.

The ship is not meant to be 2.811793 times better than any other ship. There are players with plenty of free xp to spare, so they can get something for their free xp. Nobody has to get it if they don't want to or if they cannot afford it right now.

Free XP is relatively easy to get nowadays, so yes, the price is no longer 750k, which it was when it was more difficult to get similar amounts of free xp.

So, can you tell me the way you can get more Freexps then before? Let me tell you. OP signals and camos. Last time i checked, one minutes ago, You can get them with real money.

 

Let me give you example lets say you dont have any signal and camo. Can you get fremium ship at same match amount as before prices are deflated?

EDIT: If you don't have any signals, the question would be to figure out why don't you have any signals anyway.

Edit: For you second query.Have plenty!!! Example is when you equalize the situation. You dont have signals and camos, you play same amount matches. You got same amount Freexps. Right? But ship prices are inflated.

These torps can be very effective vs other DDs btw. I noticed mostly from being on the receiving end of them

Well, looking at your stats you are certainly a good player. And you have 7 of the freemiums, so I wonder how you are having trouble getting FXP anyway.

But you were also trying to make a point to Sehales and I kinda have something to add: It's now much harder to gain FXP compared to 1 or 2 years ago, back when these FXP ships were a lot cheaper (and also arguably better).

I love IJN designs. But 2M free xp... FIrst they need to make a great premium IJN that i can buy. Most of them are quite bad.

Voted Maybe, I have all the other FreeXp ships, but 2 M FreeXP is too much for fantasy, Småland is in my hometown so therefor I had to buy it, but even for me, I have around 1,2 M freeXP after Småland took me down to 400+ and it takes time to recover. It is too many ships around that we do not know what they will be, so sometime in the future if there is nothing else, but not at the moment.

IMHO this whole "inflation" story about WoWs economy is very very exaggerated...

 

Why?

 

Because:

• there are no "Dunkirk" and "Cherry Blossom" scenarios that enabled nice farming of "Free XP" and "Elite Captain XP" - those are missing for 1+ years!
• it is nice to have ability to hang more flags on your ship - but the fact is that rare special flags are just that - RARE (i.e. you can't buy them - you have to earn them or get lucky and that is very hard to do)!

Hayate and Smaland both seem nice, and i wouldve loved to add the Hayate to my IJN fleet collection. I'm probably still going to eventually, but the thing is expensive. No reason to stick a 2M price tag on it, its not worth that. 
It seems like a weak ship & in addition 2M free XP is a sick lot, even if the economy is quite okay its not that easy to rake up such amounts of FXP.

It's definitely in WG's best interests to allow us to mount more flags and even to raise the cost of free xp ships. Think about why.

I am convinced the marketing team is huffing fuel because Hayate on its own is already so bloated price wise on top of being mediocre that i fully expect the vast majority of players to completely ignore this ship and now for the extremely few that spend that 2M free XP they want to get 26 euro's out of them ?

Yes. About to get both that cammo. And Hayate via some doblon conversion.
