well no...  because although I haven't spent free XP since I started to play, I have just barely topped the 500k mark. So I might have enough free XP to buy it in 3 years.

 

My neighbor has a Hayate... the 125cc version.

Sole reason i got it was becasue its probably one of the hardest ships to play in the game. I was bored a nd wanted a challange. But frankly, and completely objectively, its a very subpar and weak ship compared to other Tier 10 cruisers.

I'm sure everyone knows this already, but you can get Shimakaze, say, or Gearing for (according to WOWS Fitting Tool) 685,140, and 711,290 xp, respectively (which includes any of the lower tier ships you fancy too, of course) - there is no way that this thing is 2.811793 times better than a Gearing (and any/all her predecessors in the tree)...

Ridicolous. When Missouri arrived for 750k I said it was damn overpriced. It is basically a whole line of EXP. After came Musashi and I said they lost their minds. Now this joke...

 

I will wait. Hopefully in next January we will get the new TX german ship for 10 mill FXP.

Currently back to 1,15M FXP since buying Friesland in february, but now I'm out of Papa papa flags.

 

Will consider Hayate when I've gotten 4M FXP on top of the 2M for Smaaland  - provided something more interesting dont make an appearance in the meantime (like FXPing lines for rebalanced Legendary Mods). So probably never.

Would only consider getting it when I have an excess of 2 Million Free XP on top of the cost so 4 Million... Currently around 1.6 Million... Totally overpriced only to consider it if I have more than I can use...

Bought it, the gunpower feels like a grozovoi/gearing but it can mount TRB and vomit out 20*23500 dmg Shima torps. 

It definitely doesnt need buffing.

Well, to play devils advocate here I got the Smalland and I love it. It suits my playstyle despite the lack of smoke. I didn't go for the Friesland due to the fact dd's with no torps make no sense to me. I'm now shy of 2mil fxp with 1 850 000 so have some time to think about it as I slowly farm the rest, but since I'm playing less these days I might take my kicks when I can get them and will probably opt in for it. Sry chaps, I know this goes against popular opinion on the forums here.

I'm currently sitting on about 1.8 million free XP so it wouldn't be impossible for me to get her but just she seems rather mediocre for such a price, a pity too as I do love my DDs

That's pretty much my main gripe with it...hayate doesn't offer anything new or special to me that makes the price even remotely reasonable. 

 

Honestly I think 2m is was too high a price for any t10 fxp ship, regardless of its performance. But it is as it is and at some point there isn't much one can do with fxp anymore anyway. 

 

I still paid the 2m for smaland, because heal + radar is something new for a t10 DD, I had more than enough laying around back then and it allowed me to get the halland permaflage for 1k dubs (one bundle to get the last few tokens for the t7dd). 

 

Hayate does none of that. It's not a good pick for CWs, it isn't chained to some other rewards and if want to play IJN dds on that tier I already own both shima and haru with 19pt captains and a permaflage. 

 

Having a DD that sits between those two ships and does nothing unique isn't worth 2m fxp for me. For that price I rather save it for future use.

Not to me it doesn't. I don't really care if the general consensus on a ship is bad or not.

Have 6.6 Mil Freexps. Nope. I am not going to buy it. Because if i buy it, i would justify the price which WG set for it. Sold zillion of Freexp farm signals, camos etc. Then deflate the currency. You need to buy twice the amount of signals and camos to buy it. Im not buying this cheap tricks Wee Geee. Missouri was 750k Freexp. It was fair when Freexp to Tier9 is approx. same Freexp amount. Musashi was 1 mil Freexp. Its not fair but lets say okeyyy Wee Geee. But 2 mil Freexp for one ship? Nope its my limit to say NO!

 

Ship cost should be the same amount maybe a little bit more then Freexp needed for equal tier silver ship. Until then nope.

Apart from it being off-topic and me not being Crysantos, we generally cannot give any details on the unreleased ships just like that on the forums. As soon as we can tell you news about new or old ships alike, we will make sure to announce it accordingly.

The ship is not meant to be 2.811793 times better than any other ship. There are players with plenty of free xp to spare, so they can get something for their free xp. Nobody has to get it if they don't want to or if they cannot afford it right now.

Free XP is relatively easy to get nowadays, so yes, the price is no longer 750k, which it was when it was more difficult to get similar amounts of free xp.

This. A reasonable price range for a free xp DD (IMO) would be 750K-1,000K, on the basis that after blowing said free xp you might have a couple of options: a fully researched tree, but with no extra bonuses or cammo *or* a T10 premium only, but you do get a cammo/improved economy (but only one ship)...

Free XP easy to get yes if you have endless time available and use the right flags but 1m for a ship is just a waste might as well use if to research the tech trees you have started and buy all the ships. I reckon 10 ships for the Price of one is a bargain. 

 

Plus DD play is impossible somedays in game due to either the CV's and radar.
