This ship will be only for collectors. Smaland has it's special gameplay, it's a bit different than what we have in the game. Hayate is a IJN version of the Gearing. It's not bad but.... it's nothing new. and this price is crazy ofc, I'll need another 6 months (after getting the Smaland) to obtain it. However 90% of the playerbase won't have enough free exp for both (and many won't be having enough for 1 of them)

Makes me wonder: What took you so long, Wargaming?

I don't remember any ST talking about last minute changes. Did WG change anything?

It must be the concealment:

Am I right or am I once more the victim of deceitful marketing?

The reviews were not overly enthusiastic about this ship. I think Flamu explicitly stated it would not be worth 2M FXP. So now it is 2M FXP. What changed in the meantime that might make this ship worth it?

 

Ofc it had to be 2M FXP. Otherwise the owners of Smaland would feel cheated. But Smaland seems to fit into the current meta with AA, long range torps and radar. Hayate has no gimmicks. How is it supposed to be competitive?

I say Pass, 2 million XP for mediocre ship is way too expensive but Collectors will still get her i think.

 

Hayate is mediocre due to concealment and utility.

 

6.1 maximum concealment same as Z52. 100 meters lower then Harugumo and Daring is at 6 km as i know.

 

It has 6.1 km concealment but unlike other similar ships with 6 km concealment Hayate doesn't have firepower or consumables.

 

Well congrats for people that voted Free XP, I voted for coal.

Depends how much you play. I got Smalad about 6 weeks ago for 2 mln and now I'm having 700k free exp already.

What's the USP?  If it is just a IJN Gearing I'll just stick with the US one for normal exp.  Save my exp for balans Soviet 1950/60s cruisers.

The price for the Hayate was clear when the Smaland got into the game for 2 Mil. Free XP. So no surprise there. And since ppl voted for Free XP, with the argument that it is so much easier to get then coal. I wonder how many which voted for free xp are now complaining about the price. The community basically got what they wanted.

I voted for free XP back then, but who thought it would be 2 million?  The only Ship I'd pay that much for is a tier 10 Belfast. And as much as I like mine, I really hope such a thing does never come.....

Well, look at WG doing their best to make more Doubloon sales for free XP. It won't work for me. They just fail to realize that the more they will force the milking machine the more resistant people will become to open their wallets.
