Well sadly there is a lot of hate towards CVs whilst I personally don't feel it necessary to insult the players I always consider any game without CVs present to be significantly more fun. Still some classes are just hated, I collect a lot of reports from ships I kill when I play DD but if I kill people playing cruiser it's extremely rare I get reported. 

 

The one thing I have learnt from repeated experience is, never openly be nice to your CV in chat never thank him or say well played, they always assume your being scarcastic and usually get very colourful in chat.

what they need todo is add separate battle modes,

where people can fight against

destroyers vs destroyers 

battleships vs battleships

cruisers vs cruisers

carriers vs carriers

 

and everyone will be happy till they get bored

I was one of a minority in the past when I really liked the old CV RTS system and hated the rework and dumped all but one of my CVs because playing them called for arcade skills in which I wasn't interested.  BUT I don't object to playing against CVs if everyone else has to play against them. I also hate DDs and I hate playing against them but I don't complain about the fact that other players choose to play them.  This culture of juvenile bad manners and downright antisocial insult is common to most game where they allow people under the age of 50 to play!  The use of insult is usually an indicator that the abuser does not have the necessary language skills to frame his discontent and cannot hold his anger which he cannot fully understand and does not have the capacity to contain.  At this point in this sort of discussion I usually voice the opinion that the game should always have been limited to WWI vessels and have had a more limited historical theme where BBs  were the aspiration of national navies and aircraft had little offensive capability.  WG did not subscribe to that point of view and wanted to turn a game that appealed to ageing players into one that attracted the young who want the BEST, the BIGGEST and the LOUDEST.  And that's what we have.  But I still play it and never insult other players out of the frustration which the game engenders.  But damn it all, it's only a game!

WG have not listened to the more vocal forum contributes about how they personally experience the level of fun playing against CV. 

Next step it to tell the players how much fun they personally have about playing against CV's.

I've recently seen a CC on stream reporting the red CV and Thunderer for bad play, just because he hates those ships. Also, a teammate have just shot my Yugumo on purpose in a coop match.

There is one solution to abusive language in chat.....

An automatic system using AI to spot abuse and then an Exocet targeted on the offending ship.

 

Players, even young boys, would soon learn being abusive in chat gets their ship obliterated....

No. That argument is just a veiled insult in itself towards people that simply dismisses them because they use a language you don't approve of. It's a pretense of higher morality while in reality it does the exact same thing but without being honest about it.

Happend me several times and now I am just not sure if I should  report ppl for being AFK or that ppl might have legit problems.

I used to hate on CVs, now I abuse them.

 

If WG won't understand that they are broken, that is fine. I can just abuse them and piss off the entire enemy team in almost every match.

 

It's comical to see I've been reported and my karma fell just because I happen to be abusing a completely balanced CV

The playerbase continued to support the rework despite the testing phase proving that it is fundamentally flawed and way worse than what was before it. As such yes, the playerbase can and should be blamed. No, that statement is an appreciation of a general truth. Insults are neither a constructive nor socially acceptable way of getting anywhere(comedy routines notwithstanding) or are you suggesting otherwise? 

 

Are the racial insults directed towards Chinese individuals as a result of the pandemic acceptable and perfectly reasonable, and should not be dismissed out of hand nor reprimanded? 

 

Insults do nothing to solve the problems you are currently facing. It provides your mind with a fleeting relief with the idea that you did something and it makes you feel good, when you in fact have accomplished nothing, and have done nothing but attempt to wound another for the sake of your feeling better. That is the sole point of insult, whether one admits it or not. It is, in part, a coping mechanism, and one that should be kept in check. Not given free reign.
