Aegis / Narai / Killer Whale are still somewhat fun to play, but the Free XP farming is kind of history So basically the AI sill does whatever weird stuff only somebody as twisted as one working for WG thinks it right in Retárd Carry and Narai. On top of that are the horrendous OPs that are left (4 of which I would rate 2 as unplayable, thats a grand total of 25 % of what we had previously in total - not mentioning the lack of new content when old one is removed), with players that you could take for people working for WG, and if I would get a ~400 k damage 1 k base xp game previously in Narai this is nerfed further to what? 300? 400? Man if its any higher my Emden might start to sweat in co-op. Sorry for the harsh tone mate, not directed at you and I hope you know it. I used to like playing ops and I didnt strictly do it for the reward. I have all the silver I could ever need and right now until the next p2w boat/mechanic comes along all the fxp I need. Missions and shít are usually not doable in ops anyway so theres that, not that I care. However these absolute non-humans get my blood boiling. I guess its the same natural aversion just like when they are preying on children and the weak. Frankly when I last saw Escape from Retardstation as ops of the week I just quitted immediately ...

You need 5* now to get some decent xp, and with these players nowadays it's the only Op you can carry yourself (to some extent)

Even if a person wasn't familiar with the mission, the objectives appear in both text on the top left of the screen along with verbal instructions throughout. I guess there literally needs to be green arrows to follow to be full dumb dumb proof. I don't really get annoyed by it but at the same time after investing 20 minutes into a mission and to lose not to lost ships but just simply because teammates with healthy ships have either not grasped the concept of going into the cap circle marked with an anchor on the map or lost because players were damage farming and stupidly failed to make it back on time. Prime example here of the former. First battle of the day just a few minutes ago, I literally clicked the left button off my mouse map pinging the ruddy anchor and STILL these sea cucumbers wouldn't move lol. Look at my ship position(dead at this point unsurprisingly), look at the remaining seconds of the battle and now look at my teammates on the minimap. They just wouldn't grasp what to do regardless of the instructions given by the mission itself and my relentless map pinging.

Players not knowing what the circles on the mini map are is normal, it accounts for 80% of all players in Random Battles... 1
jss78 Players 1,292 posts 12,828 battles Report post #83 Posted April 25, 2020 I took out my Ark Royal after all the recommendations in this thread. (I've had the ship since release but only played her like 2 times due to an overseas work assignment.) It's an eye-opening experience. A total of 54 torp hits. And a reasonable 255k damage. Do I understand correctly that I'm mainly supposed to spam the torpedo bombers so long as they last (apart from going after DD's obviously)? Rather like a T6 Kaga? I like her in ops because you can generally play close to enemy, minimizing the frustration from the slow planes.
[EZKIL] Sir_Sinksalot Players 1,510 posts 8,242 battles Report post #84 Posted April 26, 2020 Over 300k dmg. I was sure this amazing ship had the potential. That'll do pig, that'll do. Certainly wasn't a flawless game, nearly loss because yet again teammates don't understand they need to go the anchor on their minimap so the win actually hinged on teammates dying to reduce the number so half the remaining ships made it to the exit instead of 3-4 Spongebob Squarpants doodling around cluelessly lol! I really think it would help if the devs highlighted primary missions in green to catch players eyes and also made the anchor on the map green that also pulses or flashes to outline this is the main part of the mission and must be completed. Anyway, the Ark Royal. Gorgeous looking ship and so glad I have it. If like me, you were sitting on the fence with buying this ship but held back thinking the slow speed aircraft would make this only available T6 premium CV a big disappointment all I can say is don't worry, it's a gem, really nice to play in Ops and thankfully I got this as a kind gift or would have just waiting way to long to finally buy it so don't miss out if you're 50/50 on getting it. If WG would commit to promise to not only keep Ops as a permanent feature but also improve it and add more, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase many T6 premiums and whatever other tier Ops they would develop and add. For me Ops is very enjoyable and still very enjoyable even though I've played it a million times I just still really enjoy it so I really do believe Ops is a viable way for WG to make money through selling premium for it... they just gotta commit so the player confidence is there. I know co-op and randoms is enjoyed by lots of players too but for me it's not really fun or relaxing, least of all randoms so find Ops a great offering just to chill and work with other online players towards a common goal. The nice thing about ops is it's challenging and regardless of how well the battle went goes, the devs have done a great job of always making the final and closing moments of the battle tense and never a reliable win until the fat lady sings. It always steps up in difficulty right at the death and this for me along with what I mentioned, is what makes it so re-playable.
