Please note that all information in the development blog is preliminary and subject to change during testing. Showcased features may or may not end up on the main server. Any final information will be published on our game's website.

In the second stage of the Public test for Update 0.9.4, we've changed the characteristics of several ships, having analyzed their combat performance and taken player feedback into account. Such changes were required in order to carefully adjust the balance of selected warships. We'll continue to introduce changes in the updates that will follow, if deemed necessary.

Nerf marathon continues. And I wonder when Jutland will go below Lightning reload:cap_popcorn:

Daring with 2.8s reload almost equalizes with Gearing HE damage output. Ship that also happen to have much meatier torps and actually team useful smokes.

GANGUT BUFF WTF? Do you even play this game? That thing is almost impossible to kill unless you execute a perfect drive by to it or by using torpedoes. Just look at its armor profile)))-this thing can make a great T10 ship with some HP and GUN and better speed buffs.

How about you buf other DDs instea of nerfing the RN line?

Relatively speaking, DDs are a lot less good a carrying than they were prior to 0.8.0.
Also you might want to add heals to tier X dds sometime in the future unless rocket planes get removed from CVs.

Don;t you know? This kind of balancing is reserved exclusively for BBs not DD peasants.

UK utility package will probably mean Yueyanging HARD Jutland/Daring. Waiting for WG to realize Lightning is a thing and to pull out Cossack "for balancing reasons":cap_popcorn:

And then WG is perfectly aware how DDs are capable of carrying and they don't like it. Otherwise you wouldn't get so many fun and engaging means of countering DDs.

WG learned from YY debacle and now do incremental nerfs. Also useful to only very slowly nerf particular lines they don't want to nerf (*cough Kremlin*).

Most counterplay to DDs are actually fine since it allows for skill to matter. Only warp-speed planes and stealth radar battlecruisers are problematic when there is not skill involved. What I suggest is adding heals to the remaining older tier X dds that are suffering (Gearing, Z52 in particular)

I doubt WG will do anything about tier 8, in fact I'm not sure they're aware at this point that tiers below X exist :cap_fainting:

warp-speed planes

Tbh most planes fly their average cruise speeds, even when boosting. B7A, Shokaku torpedo/dive bomber could reach 300kts when pushed for it, SB2C from Lexington could reach 250kts

buff rockets speed so much they can't aim at DDs

Not talking realism here but rather gameplay.

Planes are so fast CV can reset any capping from anywhere on the map unless smoke is used and blindfire missed.

Also retreating from smoke to friendlies is next to impossible without eating huge chunks (especially i they have moved away when DD is forced to smoke and nothing was spotting for them).

Would be ok with planes going 600 knots and unable to aim at DDs unless they predict perfectly in advance, but I'm not sure other classes would appreciate a doubling of CV effectiveness :Smile_teethhappy:

This is part where normally you wouldn't put CV at the frontline but 5km+ away from the map border.

But then, reducing cycling rate of air attacks would inevitably lead to increasing alpha damage, and that would bring us back to pre rework state:cap_tea:

Except CVs are still way too strong compared to any other class, so any nerfs would just bring them closer to balanced state.

Also the concept of multiple attacks by the same squad could be brought back to life without changing alpha, but rather simply removing a few more AA modules from the Kremlin and pronouncing it balanced like CVs :cap_book:

You're so late, WG. ...and soo lazy. Why always take the easy route when attempting to balance the game?

It's kinda funny watching these incremental nerfs (or buffs), but definitely nicer than seeing nerfhammers drop on unsuspecting targets (California, anone?).

And I wonder how low plane spotting range will get. We started at 20kms, iirc.

First off, thanks @Allied_Winter for posting the changes in the thread rather than posting a like to a site I never want to visit.

This can only be a meme. Why pick a fighter over radar?

I don't think this will change much? T8 IFHE CLs will still be able to pen her iirc.

Nice. Should make the C hulls mostly obsolete.

So the UK DDs slowly get adjusted. I just hope they don't push to far.
