PSA: Desync issue

don't know how widespread this issue is or how many are suffering from it but its becoming a game stopper.

 

Dsync is under investigation by the Devs, with no timescale for a fix (confirmed in the last WoWs stream). Normally if you know its happening, you add about 20% to your aim distance. This allows for the lag of what you see, compared to where the ship really is. You know its happening when you see ships get destroyed and then shoot forward to the actual resting place, post explosion. Today, its got worse, its becoming random in matches, sometimes occurring, other times not. Its making it almost impossible to aim accurately. I'm see the opposition struggling too, I get focused and the shells fly everywhere but don't hit me. Originally you could almost "count" on it and adjust accordingly, however today whilst in a match (more than one match too) it dsync'd and later sync'd. I noticed it by accident but it happened in 3 matches this evening.

 

Sorry WoWs but its becoming unplayable at times.

so when i play Russian DD and go full speed and dodge and someone hit me anyway can i assume its aim mods or something like dat? and i dont say random shots land what i mean he knew exactly where i will be ?

Arkaşlar. Bir sorum var nereye soracağımı bilemedim. Geçenlerde ortak savaşı oynarken gerçek oyuncu olarak tek ben kaldım. Maçta sadece botlar kalmıştı. Sonra ben savaştan çıktım ve ardından savaş beraberliğe bitti. Böyle bir şey nasıl oldu? Türkçe lütfen cevap verin çünkü İngilizcem yok.

But sadly it is not on the high list at WG it is more important to spit out new ships instead of fixing problems @TruePhoenix

The desync with the bombs, yes. So you won't take damage after the planes are already away from the ship.

 

Tis doesn't  include the desync with the ships/shells

This lag or desync or whatever to me started about 3 weeks ago after playing the game for 2 and a half months without any issue, after 2 weeks without playing, today i played an hour and every single game was a lag fest.

 

Something happened because i recall seeing the ping always at 35ms, and now it jumps up and down every second, ships are unresponsive, full salvos not connecting and some shots go through enemy ships, i have no problems in any other game and my internet speed is good, absolutely unplayable and gamebreaking to me.

While you were creating bug report on Customer Support, have you included WGCheck? If yes, as a result of the analysis they discovered, that something is wrong, so they sent you something like a pattern, what you should check, if you have any issues with that. Because to find a fix for a bug, QA team needs to reproduce it and test it if that happens just on this particular setup, or with others... basicaly how, when and what.

We are working on that, but we still need more data, more exact situations when is it happening.

"We are working on that, but we still need more data, more exact situations when is it happening." i wonder how much data u need, u managed to almost release a full line of cruisers, but not look up into this issue wich is almost 1 month old. from what i've understand, watching twitch, because its not posted anywhere from wg, is that u kind of fixed the bomb desync, i mean that sounds about right, we can't let those cv [edited]shitlords suffer,can we? 

i had enough of this game tbh, down to my last 16 hours of premium time, i think most of the players are don with paying so the [edited]russian can play for free :etc_swear:

Seriously???? where's the "In addition" to upgrade changes / change management logs / pre-prod results?????? Ahh thats right, no issues here, Russian game so good, does not need capitalistic bloat tools or best practice techniques....... Check your internet connection, run our tools on your system because our product is perfect, we will only pay lip service to you people anyway...........

 

Respect is earned @YabbaCoe it is not a right & with all the other additional issues with the product you choose to represent, How much patience do you believe your player base has???

I mostly play Carriers in WOWS.

 

The phenomenon I have noticed I can describe as follows.

 

Player aircraft control is lost and re-established from one second to the next, when control is lost the player aircraft:

 

- Either scatter and start flying in circles;

- Or change direction;

- Or slow down (almost freeze in place or in fact freeze in place) after which they will be teleported to another location in a split second;

- Or will be teleported to another location.

 

When that happens during an attack run with Rockets/Bombs/Torpedoes these:

 

- Will either not be dropped at all;

- Or be released far behind the point they were released;

- Or be released in a totally different direction than they were released by me (the player) on the screen.

 

Other things that happen as a result of this:

 

- Entire Aircraft Squadrons being locked in place and totally or partially exploding when that happens near Flak concentrations;

- Ships will magically be teleported to another location after the "freeze" or "almost freeze" is over.

 

For me this started happening about two versions before 0.9.4.0.

 

So version 0.9.4.0 is now the third WOWS version in a row where this phenomenon is occuring.

 

The phenomenon can occur at any time during the match:

 

- At match start, during the match and near the end of the match;

- And it happens when there are many ships in play and when there are only few ships left in play.

 

I have experienced this phenomenon on two systems, an older but decent system and a brand new high end system. The connection used for play is modern and up to date, as well as the modem/router. No other online games played on these two systems have this problem. The phenomenon seems to be more or less a result of losing and re-establishing connection from one second to the next in WOWS. The origin of and cause of this phenomenon without a doubt lies with WOWS and not with the hardware, software and connection used because it only occurs in WOWS on my systems.

 

In the two WOWS versions before 0.9.4.0 this phenomenon was already quite noticable. It the previous versions this phenomenon did not occur during every match and it did not always last the whole match but could occur randomly during the match.

 

In version 0.9.4.0 however this phenomenon has become so bad that it now happens practically every match to the point that commanding Carrier Aircraft in WOWS is simply no longer reliably possible.

 

The result of all this is:

 

- Air attacks now cannot be effectively executed (I have to "guess" where my Aircraft are when I lose control over them due to this phenomenon and then fire and hope for the best, which as a work around is doable but it greatly diminishes my effectiveness in a match),

- Flak can no longer be reliably evaded by the Aircraft,

- Losing matches due to the above.

 

Due to all this WOWS for me as a Carrier Commander cannot be enjoyably played currently.

 

In today's matches this phenomenon has become so pronounced and bad that for me WOWS is for all intents and purposes no longer playable with Carriers.

 

I will not waste my time with contacting WOWS support because in my experience WOWS support will generally not offer any constructive and/or meaningful support with whatever issue is submitted to them, not even when it is a comparatively easy and trivial administrative matter let alone when it is a more "complex" technical issue.

 

@wowsmanagement: Please give your players an update when you have found the cause of this phenomenon and fixed it !!!

No news, they will wait hoping that we'll forget.

Probably those bitcoin mining in a background is taking toll on our PCs so fix would be no good for business.

Mine nearly takes off in a port like a Harrier Jump Jet as soon as I click on a container.

No, the aerial bombs will do damage earlier AND later than the point they hit the target....
