Dear Cometa, the problem is since Flamu noticed it. Only when the mongol kings speaks wg does. hashtag joke

The problem is since at least 3 years in the game, never fixed, shells landing short on a not moving ship prove this, shells landing all around the ship like you were not aiming at it, shells just disapearing in the ship without any hit, bounce, ricochet, pen or overpen...just ghost shells...all these issues are in the game for a long time but nobody bothered to address them. The solution is: buy more belorussian fictive merchandise and get a full bag of frustration and teams full of imbred mongoloids that do 20k average on t10 because wg does not want to do skill based MM....basically because the CC's complained that they will get less krakens if they get even skilled teams.

The problem has been around for some time apparently but noone wanted to notice it since WG is interested in releasing new stuff all the time instead of fixing existing issues.

We need fewer events so players and particularly new ones can adjust to the constantly changing conditions.

Thats wrong on so many levels mate.

I work for another very serious Software developer and we can only guarantee that something works if your (USER) System is up to specs with some certain flexibility that you can tweak by software. Other than that there is such a gigantic varitey especially with Notebooks on the market that can produce errors due to working not as intended together. This issues you can only figure out once the product is deployed. The Same is true for servers, one can not adequately simulate the user load and load on engine. thats just how it is, and when a bug is made public such as that you can see how serious that issue is for the developer. They want all possible data in the shortest amount of time so that they can get you your original gaming experience back.

Again wrong there mate, 

we do provide more than a metric crap ton of software to VW ( Who owns bentley)

But that is not the Point, the fix for the bombs is announced allready and that it will be incorporated into a future release :

I'm sorry, but what should I report exactly? That I aim for the bow of the ship with HE to set a fire and the shells are hitting it visually, but I'll get non-pen hits, because the shells actually hit the armored belt of the ship? Or when in a DD fight my shells that visually hit water actually get registered as pens, whilst some shells just go straight through the enemy ship?

 

The actual ship location and how it visually represented is asynchronous, they are not the same. And it's not an "if you encounter" because it's basically all the time. There is a massive delay between the server/backend and the UI/frontend.

Also this, what you described can be part of aforementioned desync issues. There are plenty things that can be part of this issue.

So if you encounter this thing, what you described with a DD and you are sure, check your replay, try to make screenshots, prepare WGCheck and put all those to the Bug Report ticket.

As you mentioned, it is not happening all the time, actually it is under investigation how often and under which circumstances this happens. We can't take "I have a feeling" as a proof, we need data.

That's not true - we're not hiding problems, but there is a huge variety of sources for issues that players report. Especially if there is only a very small amount of reports, it might be related to issues with a player's PC, software, mods, connection, etc. - so it's very hard sometimes to nail down a bug and in particular its source. We got a lot of input on this topic this week, in particular thanks to Flamu's video and we'll do our best to fix it. The more info / occurences players can send us, the faster we'll be able to figure out where this problem is coming from. Once it's isolated we'll have to see how we can fix it.

Where did we say this because I can't remember us ever doing this - we said we will look into it and would like to do it. But that's something we have on our long list of improvements, not a bugfix.

By some miracle I got a secret copy of that list, but only just a snippet... here it is:

  • release a completely overtuned and overpowered line of Russian ships, because there is not enough already
  • release another completely overtuned and overpowered line of Russian ships
  • release some overpowered Russian premium ships
  • release more overmatching capable BBs to make ship angling even more irrevelant because the game desperately needs it
  • attempts to fix CV balance? Ehhhhm... no....
  • make defensive AA consumable useful again so that there is at least one counter to CVs? Hehehehe. No!
  • attempts to fix the catastrophicly bad DD-CV balance? Haha, that's a good one! NOPE!
  • release submarines then we cross our fingers that the balance will be just fine, it's not like DDs don't have to play the objective and cap, spot, worry about radars, worry about CVs, set smoke screens, counter enemy DDs, they can hunt submarines while moving on top of them just fine, it's fine

(Okay, I honestly hate being this annoying little bugger that I'm now, but this is literally how a significant percentage of the playerbase feels right now! I've been playing this game for about 4 years now and I'm really fond of it, and it pains me to see the trends lately...  what the game is (should be) about and what is actually being added, how much they are diverging... it literally feels like you're not even playing your own game...)

So the long list of improvements can wait, because more and more and more content needs to be added. Balance and finetuning is optional and secondary. Ehhhm... ok... 

 

Don't misunderstand me, I'm very grateful that you're trying to improve the game and I have nothing against the new contents by itself, it's just the priorities seem to be off a bit?! You often proved that you are capable of - relatively - quick changes and listen to player feedback (stealth fire, seeing smoke boundaries, radar delay, just to name a few, there are many more), like the universal consumables that are coming next patch, a very good change in my opinion, so thank you!

 

But then I'm scratching my head over why are you so stubborn to trying to address what universally considered to be a bad or even disastrous meta...

My comment was about consumables beeing on the same key on every ship. So repair party always on T etc. But the free consumables are also very nice.

Also a video from a cc is on youtube to be seen as a visual proof but the devs "can't see it". Invest your profits to buy new pairs of glasses or better go see an ophthalmologist....

almost 3 weeks without a fix is a no-go for me. Other games/developer are able to fix those bugs within hours/days worst case a week. Never seen CS:GO or LoL having desync issues for 3 weeks - and they had desync issues a couple of times. For me it's clearly a sign of low interest and therefore low priority to WG who are like "the average potatoe doesn't even notice, no need to hastle". Same procedure with NTC and LM into Research Bureau etc. etc. I can understand WG has a policy and needs to gain money. But it becomes more and more a customer-unfriendly behaviour. I really love the game and I'm worried about WG melking the cow too much.

btw. what will the compensation be?
Premium time for the same duration than this occured?

This issue happens a lot when cv is attacking you, when you think you amnaged to dodge the bombs or torps and then your hp goes magically and you get fire/flood in addtion.
