Am I reading this right: If WoWs v0.9.5 = Russian/Soviet Cruiser Split then WoWs v0.9.4 = Submarines ?

 

The WoWs "Public Test" v0.9.4 will now have submarines for general testing...

0.9.4 Should be early access for RU split

Currently. So during 0.9.3 Submarines will move to the Public Test Server.

And According to the "How to Play Submarine" News Article. Submarines will after this Public Test Server Session. Move to the Life Server as Part of a Seperate Gamemode to Receive Further Testing there.

 

Now "After this Test" could in Theory Indicate that Submarines will Indeed move to Life Server in 0.9.4. But it could just as likely also mean they come with 0.9.5 or even later depending on how the Testing actually goes and how many Changes WG sees Required.

 

One also needs to keep in mind that Submarines will ONLY Move to Life Server inside a Seperate Gamemode for Testing Purposes. And not as Official Content Update for Standard Games.

So its very well Possible. That this Test Gamemode for Submarines will come together with an Actual Content Introduction Update like the new Russian Cruiser Line.

Meaning that Russian Cruiser Split and Submarines could both come within 0.9.4

 

 

However. Official News on this are not Available Yet. So till WG actually Shares the Details we cant know.

I think they allowed subs on PTS so all people can test it. Not because they're releasing it. They want to get feedback from bigger amount of players now.

atleast they are testing more carefully than le olde cv rework, but i still dont trust wargaming to not fall for the sunk cost fallacy and therefore being incapable of judging submarines as a failure and locking them up if needed.

They already made premium subs for more nations than the two that will be the first to get a sub tech tree so they sure as hell won't lock them up. It would severely limit the money they could make with these premiums.

So it seems. They do at least Think that Submarines are close to being Ready.
