People need to start taking account for their actions

Not usually one to whine on forums about people in game but this is more of a whine of people in general lately and last night was the icing on the cake.

In my Massa in a mostly T8/T9 game so naturally, playing somewhat carefully rather than my general YOLO charge if I was in a T6/T7...
Gently pushing the right flank on Neighbours (the cluster of small islands) in Standard game mode. I spawned with a Lightning in front of me who proceeded to just charge full speed straight into the cluster of islands and ended up getting shreded by enemy Mogami, Ognevoi and Kagero who were agressively pushing through.
Our Chapayev and Akizuki who also spawned on our side saw that the enemy were pushing heavily in this flank (and I guess they didn't fancy their chances!) so decided to go join the lemmingtrain on left flank leaving me all alone. To make things even more fun an enemy div of a Tirptiz and a Vlad started pushing into my flank from the middle. By this point I was already turning away to angle against all the immiment incoming fire and to try and get away from the innevitable torp soup that was bound to be heading my way. With that many ships with torps I'd rather take my chances out in the open instead of playing whackamole around all those islands...

And then the Lightning decides to start calling me out in chat about how I need to L2Play and I'm the reason he died and I should have pushed in with him...
Sure, into a Mogami, Ognevoi, Kagero, Vlad and a Tirptiz.. Not to mention I had no chance of keeping up with a DD that spawns at the front and goes full speed ahead with no regard for anything (especially himself).

Basically ended up with him saying I should have pushed into the enemy as I'm a brawling ship I should get as close as I can... As it was I was already around 10km away from most of the ships pushing through the right flank... How close does he expect me to get?! Sure Massa is fairly tanky to a degree and has a decent/fast heal but against all that HE and torps... Yeah, right.
I tried making him see sense in that it was not necessary to 1) Push that early or far on this game mode 2) especially with no support and 3) maybe his YOLO playstyle is the reason for his 39% WR?
Anyways his raging and general BS went on for chat for some time about how I'm the worst human possible and he hopes I die from corona virus etc. By this point I just gave up on chat. Can't reason with people that are so potato they don't even have the intelligence to realise when they are wrong or to take on board contructive criticism.

 

Meanwhile I'd just one-shot dev striked an Albemarle that just popped up, had half burned down the Tirpitz with my secondaries and was then finishing of the Vlad and Mogami all by myself.
By this point the rest of my team had finished their grand tour of the map border on the left side and figured that they should probably do something useful and started to push mid so I started getting some supporting fire (finally). managed to take out the Ognevoi with my secondaries and had chunked a North Carolina quite hard when the game ended (we won on points).

Anyways ended up top of the board with near enough 3k base xp and 180k dmg and the usual Dreadnought, Fireproof as well as Confederate, High Calibre, First Blood, Dev Strike.

But apparently I don't deserve to be top of the leader board according to this guys following messages once I closed the score board down. Apparently I'm a pay to win noob that can't play and am everything wrong with the game. Decided to keep his messages open for the lols and he spent most of yesterday spamming me. Persistent little fellow.
Anyways ended up blacklisting him but still.
This sort of thing has been happening so much lately and is the reason why I'm so triggered. Why can't people take account for their own actions and instead of blaming everyone in chat every time they die maybe have a little bit of self reflection when they do something stupid...
I'm far from perfect (currently floating around 54/55%WR) but I know when I do dumb s*** and I'm far from being the smartest person in the world...

for starter open your stats for us to see how usual it is for you as it is bit unusual for a dude to hide his stats if achievements like this are usual for him

Ignore and move on. See it a lot.  A cruiser pushing full speed in open water straight into 3 enemy bb's and complains no support. If it bothers you, suggest you look at their player stats post game, should tell you enough about them.

No need for stat shaming. And regardless of the poster's stats, it's something that happens anyway.

Guy made mistake died got mad and lashed out. Probably to the wrong person. Prob since you had enough ships to counter the enemy, he rightly thought he'd get support; A dd charging ahead has to make decision based on probabilities, he believed the flank will follow him but they didn't, it happens. Was the blame all to him? Probably, but some of the blame must be shared from all the ships spawned there.

Playing more conservative might have helped him more, and I'm sure after he cooled down he realized his mistake or maybe not. People get mad, I have gotten mad (not to this extent) and then I calmed down and realized I was wrong.

People are generally afraid to fight and get hurt. It happens.

The passive gameplay is ruling the game though even from dds so I like that aggressive spirit, it just needs to hone it so he stays alive.

If i see a teammates start to push i will do so as well (mainly because i play BB's for that precise reason) that usually follows with others joining in since they won't get focused so much.

That doesn't always happen but can create a chain affect of discision making with others.

 

Depends if the babus, screechers, and sniffers notice however. Reminds of when i pushed in monarch, couldn't disengage but my team didn't bother to secure the other flank so i got mashed, and then my team plays one by one as per usual.

I've done that in the past only to not notice that everyone else has run off behind an island leaving me to 'spot' for the team for a while.

Yeah im guessing the past few months, peeps just sail towards map borders or don't understand the concept of pushing.

Likely because the people in this community are quite toxic and abusive. At least a part of it is.

 

Regardless of the point someone makes, the first thing a number of people will say is "but your stats are this and that so clearly you're wrong" even if the point is completely valid and has nothing to do with stats and happens to everyone and it is something that has been getting more and more common due to more new players being around. Breaking down someones argument piece by piece and ultimately proving them wrong is one thing. Insulting someone and telling them they're wrong because their stats don't match up to your expectations is another thing, that just makes you look toxic.

 

Not to mention the fact that people who do actually have good stats - people will look at them and ignore the stats entirely specifically because they are not low enough to where you can criticize them for it. Instead they will find dozens of other excuses as to why the person is wrong, instead of attacking the actual argument.

I would think that if players could see the stats (like could be done with XVM in WoT) then the opposite would be the case - players picking on the 'special/challenged' players.

Personally I have learnt to find it funny when I'm torped by a friendly DD who is launching from the second line and the first they they say is I'm a stupid 42% win rate player not looking where he is launching his Torps and getting is his way.

 

I dont profess to be great at this game but it's funny how many people make up such win rate accusations.

Xvm sniping certainly used to be a thing in WOT; one of the plus points of being rubbish - you get left alone by such people.

 

I really hope we don't get widespread use of equivalent mods in WOWS - the effect had on WOT used to be distinctly poisonous.

First, I want to thank you for a very entertaining way of telling your story. I had lots of fun reading it. 

Maybe because I guess most of us recognice that kind of behaviour of that Lightning captain. Happend  to me maybe 4-5 times those years I played WoWs. 

Not much to do about it, as some percent of people out there have problems with their self Control. Only thing to do is to report them and block them.
