Moreover, first nerfing 'semi-premiums' (Smolensk, Colbert), and 'losing' Bayard's USP (unique selling point, i.e. the feature that makes made her worth buying at all in the first place)

Won't speculate whether this pattern establishes intentionally, due to negligence, or 'just potential for competence' (cf. Hanlon's Razor)...

... but if this goes unnoticed and with less than a medium sized kak-storm it's not unlikely that nerfing and re-tiering premiums will be the norm within a few patches from now.

 

Re. tech tree ships idc, with WoWs being in/a (perpetual?) beta, so it's permament WiP, naturally. Totally fine w/ that, even liked most adjustments so far.

Re. premiums only obtainable for resources, that i consider a grey area. But then, getting them meant a considerable investment of time in game - or, if one is so inclined, actual fiat money for gold to free XP, etc... (doesn't apply to all resource ships, ik).

Re. 'genuine' premium ships, i.e. bought with money - that's  a business transaction.

Which is based upon a) the written agreement [i.e. eula, advertisements/announcements, etc.] and, most essential, b) trust.

 

If e.g. a pub keeps changing the ingredients and amount of drink in a 'pint' of your preferred beverage at whim, this renders all promises beyond the mere legalities meaningless, i.e. worthless. Idk how you feel about it, but i'd find another pub, run by a trustworthy patron - even if the chips are a bit soggier, but at least always the same degree of wobble w/o the patron bullshitting around all day about his great F+C. At least i know what i'll get.*  

 

*[In professional life, the metaphoric former is the one i will avoid as consequently as possible.  Clients as well as contractors. Trustworthiness -no 'degree of...' - either one is or is not- makes all the difference between reliable vs. dubious. At least in my experience that doesn't essentially differ across cultures or nation states, regardless whether business is done in e.g. Europe, the near East, Asia, or Russia. And re. personal life... who would want a 'friend' of whom you can never be sure, if they're lying through their teeth].

 

p.s. I admit to occasionally spending an amount per month on gaming, 'hobbies', or more refined hedonic treats than some people earn for a living. Once upon a time a considerable slice of that cake went into WoWs...  and still would, but... well, anyone who played WoWs over the last 1...2 ... years prbly won't need elucidation. The ship for doubloons discount token doesn't work for the Orkan, it should as it is a ship you sell for doubloons in the Armory. And the token reads: "Ships for Doubloons". You've put it under European navy, but stil a bit low. Especially when the selection is pitiful ohh well. Most expensive T8 DD in the game, 4% more than the next one (Cossack), Disappointed...

I've put a block on buying ships this year.. Been buying almost every other ship they've released, alas no more. Last Christmas was abysmal container wise, didn't buy a single one. No doubloon refund = total stop in investing in the containers. So to have a reason for buying or investing in those I am holding back the ship purchase. Was looking forward to using the 25% doubloon coupon on this when they said it would be for doubloons, alas they lied :-). So no doubloon investment either. Being the first in a ship is never a good idea I've learnt, being a long term player is not appreciated (only bonus is getting a flag every anniversary). So, I'm going to be a new player, buy not buying ships (will still invest in containers if their content is good (don't care about the "prizes" in them, just the extra (flag, coal, super camo or something else)).

Same here. I will just Get Mainz (already got her) and I am waiting for Aegir. I did ground my London and Gorinzia though but they do not count. Otherwise I am keeping my wallet closed for WG. I got 360 day premium in half price during New Year so I don't need to buy premium days either. I am sick of being treated like a trash by WG. Utter contempt even people like us are main source of their income and they treat all players with disrespect. WG has been caught several times red handed lying to us and they just blaim miscommunication. So I will speak language WG will understand: Money. I won't be investing even fraction of the money for WOWs which I usually have. I have bought every premium ship that has been for sale so far, dubloons, premium camo's for T10's. Not this year.

- could you maybe elaborate a bit? I guess ppl are worried(?) for one of two things, perhaps both:

 

1.) Players whom already got one or several LM. Do they have to reacquire those? I've been through several post on the forum (devblog mostly) but cannot find anything where this is discussed.

I find it concerning cauz having 7x LM in my fleet I'm able to (re?)purchase them for research points in the armory already, which leads me to fear I need to regrind a whole lot (tho that's NOT gonna happen if its actually the case(!))

2.) Are you gonna alter the stats for the LM significantly*? No need to tell us to what in details, albeit that would be nice, but simply so ppl can slow it right down an figure if that the LM (i.e. tX boat) they want.

 

Look, like I written in several other posts regarding changes of mechanics etc. i fully appreciate that you have a business to run but for a lot (the majority?) of us, it seems that you don't really care much about the existing player base but mainly to land new players/whales** to cough up some dolleri.

Hayate just been released and most PPl just started to farm the FXP if interested. And don't forget Hayate is a prem ship with her perma camo provided. No offence but that bundle is a little bit narrow minded imho.

And once a gain that discount label is completely wrong.. you do NOT get a 20% discount. That is only if you don't have these ships from, you should really market it properly. I'm getting so annoyed at this I might have to report it to local authorities that handles false marketing. There is NO discount if you have these ships, then you get quite a bit less than  164.99- worth of doubloons (you are compensated 44960 doubloons).. For me that's a hefty "Get 20% less than what you pay for!" offer.

 

Ohh well, Good old Games probably wants my 165 euros then.

They said it'll work in the future, just because they offered it in bundles with other stuff (for dubloons too) they didn't want to make the coupon work for those bundles. Although imho they could make the "only ship" option to work with the coupon.
