Egoleter ∞ Players 4,046 posts Report post #2 Posted April 7, 2020 I love my Shima. Played her in more than 750 random battles. I rarely use my smoke on her so I could easily trade that in for a TRB. However, maybe with the "old" reload booster and the 30s reload on torpedoes instead of the faster one the other Japanese DDs have now, it could work? If it would be lets say 50% of your current torp reload and a cooldown of at least 2 minutes. Then maybe. But I think the shima is an alright ship by itself. Imagine a shima TRB division pushing down a flank, thats 90 Shimatorps that hits lika a truck in a criss cross pattern going into your teams BBs. First strike would possible devestate half the red team. And in a couple of minutes 45 new show up and and a some minute after that 90 more? 4 Kills, 150 K Damage, First blood, Liquidator, Witherer, Devestating strike within FIRST 5 MINUTES! 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

And with this added the average lifetime of a Clanless Shima player in randoms will be increased from 3 mins to 3 mins + action time of the first use of TRB. Were it, say, a trb between 30 and 45 secs testing it might be valid, otherwise you simply can't contest a cap against her.
