I know the article tells us we have until the 9th April to complete the mission, however the in game mission tracker doesn't have an expiry date, now I'm not a coder and so I don't know how easy/ difficult it is to put a expiry date on, but I do know people and I can promise you that you will get a fair number of people complaining because they don't know the expiry date and then miss it.

I agree 100%.

 

This is NOT the first time they "forget" to put a date on a mission. I have brought this to the attention of a WG staff few months ago and it was acknowledged but I guess they didn't care enough to actually pay more attention to those details which confuse most players.

Hi lovelacebeer,

Unfortunately, we cannot currently implement the expiration date in-game. As you said yourself though, the information was clearly mentioned in the related article, and, in order to activate the mission itself, you should click the button in the publication😊 .

Well done on the implementation of the collection for this one, WG! The number of items isn't excessive, the mission to get containers is beautifully straightforward, widely accessible and gives the exact number of crates needed to complete the collection (love the 1:1 conversion rate for duplicates), and there are even multiple extra ways to get the crates as well so that someone doesn't even have to complete the full mission in the time period.

 

The level of rewards is somewhat modest but seems perfectly reasonable for the effort involved; one minor criticism though is that I imagine not everyone has a use for a British captain reward (although it suits me personally), so a choice of country might have been better.

 

Other than that, though, I thought this was a really good mini-event! It was certainly refreshing to be free of the RNG that seems increasingly to be influencing how much we get out of most in-game events. Good job!

Will that ability to keep getting parts of the collection, through daily containers, be discontinued after 9.3?

 

I have never before seen the selection bar (to activate or deactivate) a collection be taken away before.   Or is this exactly what will happen come 9.3?

So, to do the missions related to the event and to get the rewards connected with completing the Captain Bad Advice Collection you have time till the 9th of April.

You can still complete the Collection after that date though with Daily Containers if you keep the Collection enabled on your game Client.

Thank you for the feedback! I would also be curious to see the Cap used with other nationalities, the choice is based on his Irish origins. 😊

It's nice that it's for thematic reasons, and as I say I'm personally grateful for another British captain. As a counterpoint, though, there's a Captain Dasha for every country; and if further justification is needed of course there's some certain historical justification: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_of_the_Wild_Geese

So, at the moment, we are not planning to release The Captain for other nations, but if the situation will change in the future we will surely update you. As I told you, I would like to see an Italian version of him, suggesting everybody that Pineapple Pizza is hyper-delicious!  
(I also really enjoyed your historical argumentation: it was clever😉)
