Then you can just blame them, therefore technically blaming yourself which is the best way to self improvement!

in rank battle,

someone from the mods team said.......... in chat red :

you can buy any ship I always shoot stronger than you.

which means that Anim shoots me out of the game with mods,          otherwise he wouldn't say that.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for tips and tricks and stuff to get better at Carriers. I've attached a replay of a recent game, looking forward to feedback about it. Thank you.

20221011_164856_PASA108-Lexington_45_Zigzag.wowsreplay

Haven't watched the whole thing but from what I did watch.

Squadron shorten (Do an attack run over open water/ an island to send a part of the flight home) more, you fed a lot of planes into grouped up AA just to get one drop off and those extra planes didn't need to be there (so instead of sending nine planes on the attack only send six).

Kill DD's - Couple of nice easy DD drops that you didn't take. Namely the smoking up one near the start of the video when you first launched torp planes (he was slowing down and going in a straight line, torp the smoke cloud and you would have probably hit him) and later when you chased down that turning away Cruiser a DD appeared and didn't even react to your planes. If you had nudged left a bit and dropped he would have probably eaten the entire torp group.

Also try to avoid calling back planes when under AA fire unless you have just gotten a drop off and do it immediately afterwards to do an accelerated bail out (When the slingshot speedup is used to recall the squadron to safe altitude very quickly) rather than wait and then recall at normal speed (only one plane made it out of that BB's AA zone because you waited until the speed boost wore off)

Thank you for the invaluable feedback. I didn't even realize I could "waste" attack squadrons to save part of them... too used to playing with Russian Carriers. And I'll definitely try to get more opportunistic hits on DDs in smokes. I tend to not because I feel like I miss all the time, but I guess I need to just get better.

in general: pop fighters as spotter; if you plan to recall, recall faster; use figthers as spotter and not as defensive tool; use your heal more often; take an attack route towards where your target will be, not where they are; use tiny tims;

first run with rockets: strike a bb or a lighter cruiser, maybe set a fire. if you go for flanks you can maybe even set a perma fire with a 2nd strike

2nd run: why torps? bring HE bombers for DDs. also strike the caracciolo, less AA and more exposed

3rd run: would have gone for the caracciolo again (exposed and alone). as a result of going for others first your approach was really bad, always line up drops...

lost count (around 13:30): don't recall, go for another target and pop a figther to spot.

12:30: either FDG from side or duncan from side, always attack from a side with rockets.

11:20: are you holding S while dropping? consider practicing timing...

attached an average (dmg-wise, kill-wise its above) game that shows the idea, notice the target selection at the start

don't have anything better in my replay folder, sorry. also far from perfect :)

Alright.

There is a lot going wrong and ObiWankov already explained a lot of what you could do better in similar situations. But to go into more detail would take a long time. I will add a few points to his.

Change your rocket planes to HVAR rockets. Tiny Tims are hard to use and unreliable. The other rocket option fires much faster, meaning you need less lead and can also strike DDs more effectively.

You need to get your target selection on point. You are striking whereever without real goals. Always try to think about what the enemy you are considering to strike is currently doing in the battle, who he can get shot by and what his motives are. Then consider what would happen if you successfully strike him. Would it change much about his plans? Would it force him to retreat? Could he just simply shake it off? Will no one off your team be able to shoot him after your strike? Consider all these things.

Now additional considerations:

*Where will your planes end up after the first strike?

*Will you be able to strike the same ship multiple times with the same squadron or just once? If just once, shorten the squad by striking the ocean...

*Are there other ships around him that could shoot down your planes after your first strike?

*How much damage can you possibly do and are there maybe more vulnerable/ important targets around him?

Next is your usage of boost. Always have at least half of your boost ready during the strike. If you boost full speed while striking the flak will spawn more spread out making it easier to dodge it. Your planes also remain for less time in the AA as you are faster inside it.

When you first take off planes don't steer around or fly in curves or whatever. Just keep the planes as straight as they took off and fly straight until you reach the enemy spawn or your intended target. Every turn in an unnecessary waste of time.

Of course consider enemy fighter planes and dodge accordingly.

About fighters... don't use them on your team, use them exclusively for spotting. They won't protect your team anyway and even if they would the enemy CV player can simply choose a different target.

Open a training room and set up bots to train to dodge flak and execute strikes. You lack in both striking precision and ability to dodge flak.

There is more that can be said but for now that should be enough. Play more battles, keep the advice in mind and ask for more advice again after you played at least 100 more CV battles.

I will not watch the sub gameplay today as I will be busy with other things, this post took a bit of time already.

Greetings all!

I moved here from the CIS server on September 24.

Noticed that there are many players prefer to group of 4-5 ships, sometimes sitting to the last island, or do strange maneuvers.

I plan in the future, come here more often, if you have any questions for me, ask, try to answer.

If anything, I'm in the project since the beta test in 2015.

How exactly that matters to CV REEEwork topic? :cap_hmm:

And if you're complaining about passive play... welcome to EU server, where players want to shoot ships, not get shot by ships?

I can help players if they have a problem playing a particular ship, I still meet a lot of players on CV who need advice.

Be careful on this forum the players seem rather unfriendly towards players who want to give advice about CVs

And even if you like aircraft carriers and you enter a game to play with them they will give you an unfair report because they hate them as well as submarines....

And are you aware reports without triggering any of the WG metrics like inactivity or profanity checklist are completely ignored, so one can wear 0 karma like badge of honor?

I don't disagree with you, but what I wrote is valid too!
