Now back to th  main topic: CVs suck and should be removed from the game as they kill every tactical and mindreading skills from gameplay.

I think you've forgot easy way of "removing carriers" - uninstalling game. Alternatively playing tier 1-2 ships, bonus points for these being EXTREMELY f2p coop friendly

How did I not get ViP section after all my incessant complaining? Discrimination of the most brutal kind. I think I had <10 posts before CV rework.

I don't care what you or anyone else says around here. I asked for a quote from a dev or game mechanics about CV planes and spotting vs concealment and nobody has produced anything. What we've gotten is essentially "Hello my name is XXXXX and because I think I'm special I'm going to tell you how it works".

No. You made the claim first when you said that ships don't always get spotted when you fly over them. I said that they do. It doesn't matter if you asked for the evidence first, what matters is that you made a claim first.

You said planes don't auto spot. We have not only linked you WG's official explanation several times now. We also explained how spotting work to you. In short. Planes auto spot any ship that is within the air detection range of a ship, unless the ship is in smoke or not in direct line of sight, or it's a type of plane that does not conform to spotting mechanics such as ASW planes and Dutch Drop bombers. Case close. It's up to you if you chose to believe otherwise against established mechanics and facts stated by the creators of the game itself.

What you sent to me showed ship to ship and while it mentioned aircraft it was most likely referencing plane consumables. 

 

I saw no mention of CV Aircraft.

I'm asking for the dev or game mechanics quote for CV airplanes because there have been several times where I have flown over and not spotted a DD. So either there is a game bug that I need to request a ticket for in player support or there is more to the overall mechanics of spotting and concealment when dealing with CV planes.

With the exception of airstrikes, both CV and ship launched aircraft have the same spotting characteristics. The link provided to you explained it quite well.
