To me, German battleships are the most fun ships in the game. Charge at two enemy battleships and watch them crap their pants and panic because so many BB players nowadays have no clue how to brawl... and kill a cruiser with your secondaries as a side order, because why the hell not? Compared to that, British battleships are more boring than an acceptance speech.

Well, I play RN BBs as "cap chaser". Zoom in, blap something near/in/around a cap, zoom out.

They're not all Thunderers. On Conqkek you can use the heal pretty well (it is tanky if you also use the stealth).
I alo like 'em before T7... fat, slow, but hard hitting tanks. Not like KGV. Bah.

Yeah, Pommern sounds really fun. Looking forward to it.

Hope you get it soon. Before this all ends up in crap.

Yeah, low tier RN battleships are fun. I also liked Vanguard. Charge in, bow-bounce whatever enemy battleship shoots at you (I realized that bow-wave is quite effective at that... basically, start a slight turn just as you see shells incoming), and then perforate them with Vanguard's excellent AP. Unfortunately, layout of many Tier VIII maps, not to mention player behaviour, make such brawling opportunities quite rare. And of course, Vanguard herself is vulnerable from the side.

Thanks. I really hope I will.

@ForlornSailor halfway towards page 400. So better get ready for making your appearance at said page

No joke: yesterday I saw we were at 349 and thinking to myself "Its that time of the month again" :D

So can we rage about a certain new "cruiser-consumable-mechanic" here aswell or should we start another general discussion topic for that? we could have a race, which one reaches 1000 pages first. Ill give the airstrikes a good chance to win, eventhough CV rework is 350 pages ahead.

Lets get back on topic before @Excavatus locks the thread due to talking off topic!!

Rework CV gameplay is boring to play and boring to play against. My completely new and unheard-of proposals are to either revert to RTS when it was more fun to play and play against... or just remove them!

Discuss!

This topic is just here so people can vent about CVs in a controlled environment. Moderators can just close every CV topic and the community staff have only one topic to ignore. Brilliant solution showing how WG values their customers.

Apologies, i should have made a disclaimer about the statement may contain sarcasm.

The only thing that will change WG is sudden loss of players/income.

They are not ignoring.. they just don't agree with :D

What surprises me is, people never stop complaining..

At some point, one expects that hardcore complainers should stop playing at all..

In the end, everyone talking about "losing costumers/Players"

But everyone still going on :)

It is the definition of insanity....

Some ppl want to improve the player experience and might be a bit bullheaded about it.

We lost tons of veteran players, not all over CV rework, but I know enough ppl who stopped because of it.

Playerbase itself is stable, yes, but the quality of that playerbase is in freefall.

I agree... %100

but I'm working for a multi national gigantic company..
Because of my job, I've had many contacts with the CEO and we talk a lot..

In the end... for a big holdings company,

every year, around Feb, our CEO goes to a conference room in a hotel in EU..

and give a briefing to HIS bosses..

Economical Consultants / Secretaries of the Main Share Holders..

and they ask only one question...

"Your forecast this year said, you'll make 2 mil Euros for each of us... Did you make it?"

No one asks for:

* How did our production go?

* How was Health & Safety?

* How was our reputation?

etc...

etc...

so when we mirror this to WG,

Sub reports to someone, then that someone reports to CEO.. then CEO reports to shareholders..

and that CEO answers only one question..

How much money did WoWs made for us this year?

Games change, communities change, consumer profiles and behaviours change...

We just have to accept... or.. move on.. Thats my personal take..

Also, there are still some game modes that are fun and which people can take refuge in. Playing at Tier VI and VII can be fun, as there are still brawls to be had. Then there are also Operations. So the fact that people are complaining yet still playing doesn't mean that complaints are wrong... just that the game originally had so much quality that it is difficult to wreck it all, despite WarGaming's best efforts.

I'm not saying people are wrong :)

I'm just saying... ok anyway.. let me try to explain with a saying,

God please give me the strength to change things,

and the patience to accept the ones that I can't...

So, from my point of view, everything is evolving, including WoWs.

It is either accept it or leave it situation...

I'm not saying "accept everything" like a sheep.

But when nothing major changes, after constantly complaining for 2 and a half years..

for me it is time to accept the reality..

I always give the same answer..

There was a game.. which I played like a maniac.. Almost 10.000 hours in 5 years..

one day, the developer made a massive change... rewamped the game as a whole..

I've paid monthly sub for whole 5 years.. that day.. was the start of the end for me..

1 month later.. I uninstalled game and never ever looked even into the forums since..

Did my money and time got wasted? not for me.. still have friends there.. still have memories..

am I angry.. ? I was.. now? a little.. yeah but thats life for me..

And how can one influence this except stop playing permanently?

Massive boycott? Probably not very easy to organize but might work. Alas, probably most of the casual players will not know about it.

Massive influx of bad reviews. Probably easier to organize. Personally I'm a bit choosy on starting new games. Steam rating does affect my choises. Less players equals less income.

And lastly, the game is enjoyable without CVs. Its even enjoyable with when playing minotaur with 1000dps against tier 8 CV..

no one can..

only the money income can influence the decisions of the developers (or their bosses for that matter)

Can we influence the income? may be.. I don't think so.. but may be..

Thats the only question.

Agreed. I quit World of Tanks because I had issues with it, despite having some very good memories with this game. WoWs I always liked more, so it will take much more frustration for me to reach that point, but...

Never underestimate the decision making process of a company :cap_haloween:

The game I was talking about up there was "The secret world" subscription based MMORPG..

One of a kind though.. amazing game..

One day they decided "We can't make enough Monez!! why don't we make the game F2P and change the mechanics into a gacha game and make it trivial for everyone, oh and put micro transactions and loot boxes everywhere!"

Just in a day... :)

It's always the same...

Dev's come up with a great idea for a game, run with it for awhile, game starts to pick up but not as much as the higher up bosses want.

Dev's told to "Make it simpler" and "Make it have 'mass appeal' to pull in casual crowds".

Dev's make major UNWANTED changes to try and pull in more players thus decreasing the value of the original idea and alienating the core fanbase.

Game still not pulling in enough players so micro transactions added and grind increased to further pull money from current players.

Damage control on forums/Steam due to unhappy players complaining.

Game is still in decline.

Potentially Dev's try to make changes to pull back core crowd (sometimes) but usually not enough as most have moved on by this point.

Upper management pulls the plug as the game is not profitable to maintain or develop further (or in the case of smaller studios the studio goes under)

New studio starts at step one with the next awesome multiplayer game idea that is somewhat niche and the cycle repeats.

No one ever made a game like TSW.. and will do in the future..
because I accept that game was too complicated and niche to be successful among the masses..

I remember doing some testing and theory crafting and testing and theory crafting FOR HOURS with friends online..

just to create new builds..

It was amazing.. just... very hard.. to maste... and follow up... meta never changed.. not ever.. so that made some people to feel "Bored"
because most of the Multiplayer online game consumers.. always want NEW THINGS... constantly..
we (hardcore veterans) were happy.. Because the endgame content was EXTREMELY hard..

and grindy.. like to level up 1 signet out of 8 you are using.. would take a year :D so were happy..

I like grinding.. I Like INSANE grinds..

There was a nightmare (very endgame) area infested with zombies..
I was going in there to farm them because they would drop upgrade materials time to time.. there were around 50.. and you start killing by 4 to 5..
from one point to another.. when you've reached to the end.. the first ones generally would be respawned..
at some point.. there was a website.. which gave monster kill numbers per players.. I was at the second place world wide.. with 30 mil + zombies..

There were some areas called "LAIRS" extremely endgame.. should enter at least 5 people party.. tank + healer (leacher) + 3 DPS..
we were trying hours and hours... trying to do that 3 people.. :D failing... but it was fun

Anyway.. enough of me down the memory lane..

God I miss that game..

Now I'll stop the offtopic.. and will be back to topic..

Why audacious suck??? please tell me? I hate that ship
