Shikishima is good if you can aim good. You can deal 50K+ from 23KM+ while you can also deal low dmg from 10KM due to overpens.

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: It is a Yamato with bigger guns and minor differences and Musashi, Yamato, Shikishima are all natural born snipers. Not only because they can shoot long distances, but also they are slow ships, have weak broadside, weak AA (whatever AA means) which prevent them to be effective and deadly brawlers. Steering these ships even in mid ranges require close attention to enemy positions at all times.

You need to ban CV players who are bad as its completely unfair when you are in a battle with a Good vs Bad CV player. 

 

Or at least send them back to T4 or something.

i remember playing hosho (very start of my carries learning), when i got t6-7 ships such as scharnhorst (was quite rare), i had to attack knowing my planes wont last a lot.

They are. If you're not much good then you are basically limited to T6 max. 

Even there you need to be "reasonable" else you bleed credits like a leaking bucket. 

There is no way a tater player can keep up playing T8, unless he uses premium CVs and/or buys premium time. 

At T10 - just forget it.

Of course only if one doesn't not know how stop this "bleeding" by playing mid-tier ships to make money.

Playing some T5/6 premium ships with "gimme the money" flags etc and doing kinda good in them makes you a shipload of money, which allows you to be lousy in T8+ CVs without any problem.

 

So potatos can play any ships they want, if they just not play them exclusively. Just take a look at the number of potatoes playing T10 ships and you would see that your argument is... kinda... Trump-ish

It occurs to me this might be a good time to look back at what WG reps said at that CC summit Q&A in St Petersburg last year, and maybe consider how well it all held up. Just a little retrospective.

Not only does AA get destroyed, it is also especially fragile. This leads to yet more more passive gameplay as players avoid fights with certain ships to avoid losing too much AA and be farmed by the carrier even more easily. Also since the Defensive AA consumable is limited in number, I hesitate to use it to help out team mates but save it for myself. How do you plan to address this issue?

High-tier German cruisers used to have solid if not outstanding AA before the rework. They still do, but the range is rather short, even some destroyers have a longer AA range. Why is that?

actually this is something I have proposed time and again, t8 CVs are much more proportionate to t10 surface ship gameplay and t10 maps (both Random and CB).

here is an idea, why don't we just delete all tier 10 CVs, reintroduce odd tier CVs; while capping tech tree progression at tier 8? The t10 CV population is lamentably small, and unpopular, anyway, it is hardly worth the developer's time and effort.

The answer to how they will adress formerly great AA ships like Atlanta being a shadow of their former selves: dev says I looked it up and Atlanta has stronkest AA of tier 7 8 and 9. Me: Absolutely that is why I havent touched that ship that I bought for money in over 1.5 year because its totally unfair to carriers. :Smile_sceptic: I stopped paying these people for good reasons. What the.. :fish_palm:

Yep, that video says it all. CVs are frustrating everybody apart from the CV players. Or, maybe it sucks even for them. I am rarely playing CV, but whenever I do, it is just boring as [edited].

I just dont understand how WG can justify the current state of CVs. Is there statements containing proper arguments one could agree on?

 

I am actually wondering, how close the important streamers are to quit the game. Flamu becomes obviously more and more annoyed. Flambass recently philosophized about leaving as well:

Essentially, the only thing holding him back seems to be the community he built up over the years...

 

Maybe WG is sensing the end and therefore are trying to milk as much and as quickly as possible before people loose interest.

can someone explain how refusing to do clan battles hurts WG?

clan battles give rewards, letting people get ships and flags from those rewards without spending money

i dont see how having less of those hurts WG

how are clan battles profitable? its not like its some great, heavily watched e-sports event 

 

fully support the not giving a cent to WG idea tho

Yeah if only there were enough players following this mindset which there are not. WG is selling whatever new they bring to the prem. Shop very successfully. Also good luck trying to convince those people that spend a lot and just don't care the whole CV topic.

If CVs were as much of a problem for the community as a vocal minority trues to make them be (im not saying they aren't OP or broken) then this forum and reddit would look much different.
