That's interesting how many basic account games would it take to get 2mn fxp?

Ignored you? I replied to you several times even in this topic, also with a quoted fix to one of the things you pointed out. I've never ridiculed you here or anywhere else - I'm always willing to listen to feedback and I provide it internally, regardless of my own opinion. I'm trying my best to answer as many things as I can but I will never be able to answer every single question and I need to address a large quantity of players, not just have a constant dialogue with single members of the community.

Sorry that you feel this way and have a nice week,

Crysantos

I think we all understand you are in a stressful situation, being the "interface" between the community and your employer, which is where most of the sympathy we feel for you guys comes from. Nobody can and will expect that you reply to every ping, quote and statement made in the forum and elsewhere.

Still I need to point out that @Egoleterimo has a point when he feels ignored. He posted a comprehensive and quite well-written bit about price inflation. The reply picked out one tiny element of his post, that was his remark about a misleading picture and wrapped it around his neck. The core of his post was going in a totally different direction and imo more worth commenting on, but ignored by you.

Personally I can understand his sentiments. There are some forumites who don't just post short and empty statements like "that's crap" or "I'll uninstall" but give quite smart and detailed feedback. They also don't just argue from their point of view ("Gib, gib, gib!!!") but really make an effort to consider Wargamings business interests and try to bring both worlds together. They are, no hard feelings, more authentic than the replies we get from WG-staff, since they are not paid to do that and can speak their mind.

Nevertheless such smart posts are often ignored, maybe not deliberately, maybe they are just overlooked in the mass of posts being "tl;dr". But each of these long and comprehensive posts captures in his words the sentiments of many voices that don't take the time to write their opinion in such detail. And that is why they should not be ignored or given the feeling they are overlooked.

Crysantos I really feel for you for having to defend these obvious moneygrab schemes recently. Aren't there other jobs?

You justify price inflation with players being able to get more free xp. Fine. However, your employer advertises those free xp opportunities as "wonderful, exciting, supermega bonus events", not as "you really won't progress with this because we'll just raise the prices events".  Players like those "opportunities" because they feel they'll get ahead, in the end it turns out they have to take them just to stay on course of their self-anticipated progress.
Moreover, those "opportunities" are introduced by WG in an effort to attract players and get more revenue, right? And then, after throwing loads of flags and camos at people in events in order to create an illusion of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, you just raise the price to get rid of the extra stuff that WG put in there. This creates a perpetual imbalance in game economy and while players have a feeling they get more for their money, they get less. If, for example,  I buy free xp flags and camos for 50 euros, I get less value for my money then I would have a year ago, because prices of new ships went up in the meantime.

As for gambling with buying containers, that's just that - gambling, regardless of the flags and camos you put in them. Let's have a thought experiment here.
Imagine I organize a prize competition. Everyone can pay 500 euros, and if your ticket is the one chosen by random selection, you get a million euros. You'd call that gambling, right? However, if I take a piece of paper saying "This piece of paper is worth 999999500 euros" and attach it to each ticket, then, according to WG it's not gambling anymore. It's the same with the containers - nobody buys them hoping they'll get a piece of paper, people are buying them because they want that million. And that's exactly what gambling is.

As for me, I've had enough of this.  I won't spend another cent on this game, at least from me this company's greed won't be rewarded anymore. Too much is too much.

Again a brilliant post that I couldn't have written any better. The whole bit about advertising increased rewards while rather quietly raising prices is precisely to the point of this discussion. Thx @FidelisRaven.

Like what? Crippling all PvE making co-ops less rewarding, breaking all T6 operations, removing the others, including the one and only T7 operation we had? Hmmmmm, though to justify that, isn't it? :cap_hmm:

As for my comments on the event itself... I left more than constructive one here...

I'd normally ask a Moderator to move some of the posts but some of them get offended when you ask that so I'll leave them alone.

This is simply don't buy anything don't exchange not even for 1-35 wait until you can tier them and wait until you have the fxp. we must show them that we don't accept this. that's the only way we can hurt them.

I'll skip the vodka, save the money and buy some nice scotch for instead of bundles

3 from daily shipments

22 from directives

10 from stream missions

35 containers, leaving us with anywhere between 350 and 4900 tokens. Most likely with no more than 1200. Imagine being a dedicated player who puts hours upon hours and then only getting like 10 and 20 tokens per container, leaving you with only ability to unlock tier5, maaaaybe t6....That will feel great...

Or you are a player like me that focuses on a singe class of ships because of play time and the directives are structured such that you need at least 3 classes to complete them (RN cruisers part 2 f.e.) ... content for every player ... sure ...

Luckily I still have tech tree ships to grind so not much loss for me there ...

Just a simple math session:

To get all 5 ships you need 3000 tokens. If you get 140 from each container you can get up to 3500 tokens. In other words: you have to get 21x (out of the 25) the 140 token container to get all 5 ships... If you get 25x 40 tokens container (the next best one) you get 1000 tokens. 200 tokens short to get the T7 ship.

Next thing is the exchange rate. You can excahnge 50 Royal token for 450k creadits but you need 60 European tokens for the same amount. In this patch you could get 30 Royal tokens from daily missions but nothing about daily missions for the next patch.,..

I'm mostly a weekend coop captain. This patch I played daily to get the directives done and to get at least 20 tokens each day (I bought the London for real money). For the next patch.. I don't see me playing each day again. Doing the directives to get most likley the  T5 / T6 a bit earlier? I pass. Investing 1000 doublons for random bundles? Maybe as long as they start with 250 tokens ones. All other I will pass.

Even if I had 2.000.000 free xp I wouldn't buy it any way. I rather free xp through 3 full lines more or less for the same amount. That's 30 ships just to put it in perspective

Yes because this way we have more flexibility without killing our UI. Maybe in the future there will be more ships and we can make it its own tech-tree but for now it's the best compromise - even though we understand that some would like to have it as a separate nation.

This Thursday on the EU server.

Gracias otra vez, por no acordaros de los barcos Españoles.

Así no tendré que pagar por ellos, muchas gracias.

Thanks you again for not remembering about Spanish's ships.

Because of that, I won't have to pay for them, thanks you so much.

As a stopgap suggestion, you might be able to find mods to skin the Devonshire as the Canarias class, the Weymouth as the Navarra, Caledon for the Blas de Lezo class and Emerald for the Almirante Cerveras, along with something to give you the Spanish Navy ensign. Not the same I know, but might do until something better comes along ;)

The Almirante Cervera class has a very different gun layout to the Emerald (she has 3 x 2 turrets and 2 x 1 before modernization and 4 x 2 after for the ships that were modernized) though the others might work for skins.

Lol, just passed a million xp too. Assume that this latest exquisite collection of stats is at least two and a half times better than a Missouri or Musashi at making money, etc.. No? Well that just silly then, isn't it?

On the bright side, with the current state of the game (regular issues of meta changing reinvented wheels, no interest in sorting CV's and the looming inclusion of magic subs) my Prem will run out long before I give a monkey's.

Please stop giving me free premium days incidentally, it's like adding time to my sentence for good behaviour......
