Too much toxicity

I just had a ranked game in my Yamato where we won the match. Not my best match but something average to good, i came to the port and saw the 2nd classified player spamming into the chat "Pls people like you should STOP playing ranked, you're cancer", "You let 3 people of our team die because you wanted to kill a camping CV that was unuseful and you had fear of a smolensk" and stuff like that. I answered that Smolensk was a minor threat compared to CV and, anyway the situation was under control in general, also said that he was too much frustrated. He continued to answer like "you're cancer, you're an idiot..", i said "man i have good stats you know that? I'm unicum" (yeah i know that was haughty). I mean he can blame bad people but at least i know a bit what to do, i also tried to scare him saying i would have reported him but didn't take a screenshot of the chat. So i started another match and at the end i found him continuing to blame, then i answered another time and everything endend there. But, seriously, i had never found such a level of toxicity in a player like this one: he was focused on repeating always "you're a cancer, you're an idiot" etc. Is this the level at which people can get? Seriously, i can also get mad for ranked but this is too much. Too much for a GAME. I'm not performing well nowadays but you can't come and say "stop playing you're trash, you're awful.." wtf is your problem man?

Report, blacklist and send a ticket to WG if you can be bothered. Some people lead very sad lives and their only way to gain a sense of self worth is to shittalk people on the Internet. They are ill individuals. At most you can pity them, at least - just ignore and blacklist.

As others have advised send to support, but its pretty normal every ranked season. I lost about 10 karma from killing people the last 3 days and I don't even play ranked it just brings out all the most toxic people.

 

For example the chat message I got from a angry BB driver who despite knowing I was there still resented being torped, now I could have replied but why lower myself to their level

There is a very easy solution to this. Ban all Germans from Ranked. Every single time someone single handedly ducks up the game by playing like a total idiot he types in german, and every time its below 45% win rate ..

First rule: ignore the guy. Don’t answer him, don’t enter in discussion, just don’t react at all.

Second rule: send screenshots to WG. They deal with such kind of people.

Perhaps the replay would help to understand what happened. The offender's could have some reason to his favour, the OP also have his explanations and point of view. What is unacceptable are the insults which prevealed before the enlightenment arrived. Black list him and forgot that piece of

No need replay I had such rants on me after battle when I burned someone / torped him. He rather was complaining about the DD itself to be broken / torps in general or personal attacks.

People can get frustrated to the point of madness. I stopped playing regularly randoms and ranked to save my sanity. It is not worth it. For all we know the guy had lost 20 games in a row due to bad plays (both his and from his team) and had enough. The stellar performance of the Smolensk (2200 base xp and 4 kills -3rd most from ALL players) perhaps hides part of the truth to his frustration. A clever player will use his teamates to have good results as is the 'philosophy' of most unicums.

Was he right to curse? Nope.

Should he be punished? yes.

Was he right to be frustrated at his teamates tactics? Ofc. Absolutely.

Not to mention how this game punishes you for active teamplay and provides rewards for more passive or useless gameplay. Its like how useless epicentre is as a game mode and if you dont secure the flanks your fecked even more so than usually (experienced this in both saint louis and georgia today except i managed to push in the saint louis and had to kite uselesly in my georgia becuase no one wanted to push up and engage).

 

Its annoying how much you get punished for aggressive play unless the enemy messes up and/or you are able abuse terrain to your advantage.

 

i mean my winrate in fiji must be around 20% now due to how much you rely on your bloody teammates not too be utterly useless or suicide.

 

oh well ill give it another week before i leave for good.

Well OP came just to show how salty people can reach to rage on the enemy that just played normally. Blaming even him just like if he "stole" his win.

I started by joking with him and then reacted because he was becoming annoyin. Anyway i regret doing that, it was just "stfu" and stuff similar but it would have been better not.

I'm posting the file of the replay. I played a passive match (but i had the match under control) in any case but topic wasn't open to validate my position. I only want to show where people are capable to arrive for a stupid videogame, just becoming mad.

I started playing Yamato in ranked because the "continuous overtime damage" doesn't work in ranked. We all know how Yamato behaves: it's a platform, take a position and hold.
