Hi everyone and two things i have noticed on the game which would be nice to have corrected.

Re-stationary ships..as we all know the flag ensigns fly in accordance with the wind direction BUT, they dont fly in accordance with wind direction and neither does funnel smoke when the ship is moving, for some reason the programmers have got it wrong or are not bothered or, have overlooked this, about it. But in theory smoke and flags and in reality always follow the direction of the wind and not the direction the ship  traveling.. Now you might not think its very important and yes we know its only a game

However it is because if you note at the start of the battle the wind direction any firing during the battle and in particular long range effects the shells, and they drift in accordance with wind direction to some extent and in doing so this is correct within the game, but if you forget after the start of the battle the direction of the wind then its all guesswork but so what you might say well, all the more reason for flags and smoke in particular to comply with wind direction because if they did you could gauge better the fall of shot on the enemy, buy seeing which way their funnel smoke was blowing before firing.. alternatively but a more inferior way would be to introduce a wind direction gauge on screen showing this and wind strength.

Any comments

There is not any game mechanic of accuracy change or shell trajectory change in dependency on the wind in the wows.

Wind in wows do not have any effect on anything.

and neither does funnel smoke when the ship is moving,

at least this has a purpose:

you can estimate the speed of the enemy ship by looking at the smoke from the funnels.

And it´s clearly visible if a ship moves forward or backward.

If wind would influence the smoke both "tools" would be obsolete

No they don't. Wind effects are not modeled at all.

As the others already said it's an arcade-game and there is no wind affecting anything in this game. So this addition would be useless.

So if a ship is travelling at 30knts with a 30knt tailwind... does that mean it get's a permanent smoke screen? :Smile_amazed:
