Since it's the same amount of planes per Carrier (T8 4x6=24, T8 6x4=24), I think it's just that US fighters are stronger in 1 squad vs. 1 squad, but japanese carriers can spread their squads to attack multiple targets at a time. Edit: Not had a chance to have any battles yet, but have used free xp to get up to and fully upgrade the New Mexico....can't wait to try the US BBs when I get home from work. You're practically stuck with 1 fighter-squad until late in the tree and even then, you only get 2 fighter squads. This is a critical design-error, imo. I seem to recall there being talk about a second IJN carrier line which I guess will include support/escort carriers. So in that case essentially you get two sub-classes of carriers in two different research lines. Holding out for Mogami 1943 refit and Ise 1943 refit. The DD and CV nerfs seem pretty ridiculous coupled with BB buffs. Yes, it feels nice to dodge torpedos that are shot almost at point blank range in a battleship, but how the hell am I going to do anything in DDs now? It was obvious where this is going with all the 3.1 patch info that could be found before. DDs, CVs, CAs... no longer needed in games(CA being even worse now... if thats even possible as they were horrible before), or useful at all! Bl4ckh0g Weekend Tester 1,668 posts 33 battles Report post #25 Posted May 14, 2015 Naah, I bet more wankers are on the way Yeah It was kind of an douche thing to quit the battle Well, yeah except I lost 18 planes in the first 3 minutes in the match against essentially 1 fighter squadron of the Lexington, I either kill my other 12 planes achieveing absolutley nothing and lose some credits then proceed to watch the match doing nothing for 15 minutes or I just simply quit and play something else I also find the HE shells over-performing, halving DDs with one salvo and doing 7k damage in one salvo against a battleship and then burn him for 16k damage, while literally doing 0 damage against him with AP Doing 1-2k damage salvos against Aobas and Omahas with AP seems rather underwhelming to me, overall HE seems better against everything now Making the CAs turn like a destroyers, and battleships like CAs kind of kills the point of the torpedoes since they can be avoided with ease Nerfing the USN DD line, thus making the Sims a Type 59 kind of ship, while also removing essentially any sense of progress in guns for 5 tier in that line also seems like a rather bad idea Making the USN BBs both short ranged AND more inaccurate than the Japanese seems rather interesting While also completely missing the needed nerf of the Myoko to fit her in tier 7- having 25% more DPM and 5k more health than the Pensacola While giving minimum buff to Mogami despite moving her up one tier Making the Ranger's fighters receive a 150% damage boost compared to the Independence's seems like an odd decision This is coming from around 7-8 battles Seems like the patch isn't as good as advertised Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
