Reward not limited once but even twice to a lucky lottery draw is bad game design.

WG and WG staff do not care. It all ok as long the numbers tally up.

I wanted to buy the London and Cheshire. But now I'm going to pass. This whole game is being flushed down the drain by a company that doesn't care about it's own customer base.

Well apparently they do care a bit. Our constant pleas to not hide early access behind a lucky RNG draw seem to have invoked a change in how we will gain access to them. Look for the fresh 9.2 update information in the devblog.

Already saw it and I don't believe them. They will pull a fast one, I'm betting on it.

The release of British heavy cruisers from Early Access; new cruiser London; and the unique historical Commander, Andrew Cunningham!

Read it on the portal

Okay, English is my first language and Utter Gibberish is a close second. Neither of those skill sets lets me see in that article on the portal that ANY of the British Cruisers are being released from Early Access prior to Update 9.2, nor is there any text on that page about them being released.

This is pure Clickbait for another grind or gamble opportunity, WG. You guys should know better by now. The community has had enough, regardless what St Petersburg or Cyprus are saying.

Didn't I just finish 4 weeks of English mission chains with the old Hey look you can get a free ship !!! (*cough* BULLS**T *cough*)

So with all those WG staff all you can do is keep recyling grindy mission s**t ???

Error 404 : Creativity not found !

On the plus side i'm sure Ubisoft are grateful and have been enjoying the money you no longer earn.

What makes you think that? To get cunningham you don't need either the Albemarle or the London, they will just save you some time. (as is usual with our events)

As long as you complete daily missions and directives, you will have enough tokens.

It is not "just save some time".

People who got lucky and got T7 or T8 (or even T5 and T6) from <10 boxes (or even from 20+) do get to

- Save time, in going up the tree

- Save time when doing new directives and/or getting London and special captain Cunningham.

- Save millions of credits.

- Getting permanent camos worth thousands of doubloons. Not to mention they are actually looking good instead some very odd fantasy what ever camoes that make your eyes bleed. Oh, and did I forgot to mention there is (currently) no way of obtaining those camoes any other way than being lucky.

Those who opened 25+ boxes and got not a single ship will get to:

- Grind whole tree.

- Do the grinding very fast if they want to obtain bonuses on missions/directives.

- Spend even more time to get London and Cunningham, meaning a lot of grinding instead of playing more relaxed because rewards are time gated.

- Not to get nice looking good permanent camoes because of reasons.

Can't you really see that his is deep crap kind of way of doing things? Gate lot of rewards behind pure luck. Not like British BB's where more you worked higher you got or Italian cruisers with _limited_ amount of boxes where working for rewards finally got you there even if someone luckier got there easier. After luck gate you build next event so unlucky ones get shafted even more.....

It is not "just save some time".... It's "we are pissing on your shoes if you are unlucky".

I have been happy to spend money on very nice game when I felt appreciated. Recently WG has been doing their best to rip people out of their money and not even hide it is blatant money grap, make people miserable and change game in to gamble house. If I wanted to play luck based gambles I would go to casino, so no more cash for you until you start to treat your players like decent humans.

I couldn't agree more!

All the Forum suck-ups who wish to either white knight or try to be made a Moderator by sucking up need to read the above.

Dozens of hours of grinding, millions of credits lost, poor commanders and no Premium camo … all on the roll of a dice. How is this motivating, WG?

I used to be a completionist in this game, completing just about every event available in the game. Ever since WG stopped handing out Rank 1 flags and especially since the Benham grind and the introduction of Kuznetsov, I have been on the recovery. If WG keeps up this pattern of main rewards locked behind extreme time-gated grinds or luck and a steady stream of OP captains (those with 'talents' and buffed skills and no compensatory drawbacks), I may soon be cured completely.

It's super annyoing that you switched again to the black and white method of obtaining the commander. With the Italian one, your effort at least wasn't lost if you didn't complete it in time, as the collection stayed with you. Now you are again screwed if you don't get him and you will have to fork over 175k coal in several month to have a chance at it.

You know, I really thought WG learned something and used that with the Italian event, but now we are back to the exact same shitshow as always. Thanks for nothing, War Gambling.

Normally I'm happy to get on WG's case when I think they're doing something wrong, I think they've done a lot of highly questionable things lately, the CV rework is the worst thing ever done to the game, the PR event was so scummy it would make a mob racketeer blush, their insisitence on the universally hated RB and sticking LU's in it, there's plenty to criticise them about. Having said that, in all honestly I don't think there's much to rage about this, at least until we see the directives, and I do expect them to be more on the scale of normal difficulty, and not the insanity that was the PR. If I'm right about that, even without having gotten lucky with the RN CA drops, you should be able to get the London and Cunningham for free, which isn't really something to complain about. Yes, it will take longer without the CA's having dropped in your port, and cost you more in credits, but overall, this should be doable for everyone. I might change my mind when I see the directives, but I really doubt they'll be the "you need to play 24/7 with a 100% wr for weeks while a nurse is keeping you hooked up to an IV and is monitoring your vitals" kind we saw for the PR.

Actually not a bad event (certainly not as bad as some people appear to be making out) the London should be quite possible to get. I'm moderately confident I can get Cunningham as long as the grinds are not in the level of PR insanity  (also he will be available later on in game anyway if I cannot get him this time around).

I do note however it will depend a lot on the mission directives I just hope WG don't repeat the PR stupidity.

Exactly, the Part 1 directives were actually nice (completed all four), the problem is that the community still has Puerto Rico PTSD

I just dont understand why they cant continue to release new captains in the same way we got Yamamoto and Halsey. Make it hard missions, but with no time limit.

Oh! an open bundle. It costs 48000 doublons 150 Euro. no flag for london. its in the logbook so you gonna be able to buy her with an admiralpack the same with Cheshire properbly. it doesn't seem so hard to get London and Cunningham. I have 220K ship xp on Albemarle so the b-version of drake will be there when released. Will make mr Jingles a 19 skill he is 15 now. I guess he'll be ready with Goliath. and for Cunnigham I saved 1.2 mil. cxp.

Can't wait for my swedish DD828074166_100px-HMS_Smland_vapen_svg.png.387dc1e45c2f08e738263ee7c12db51c.pngHMS Småland.

That bow looks like you photoshopped it in. :Smile_trollface:

Yes, will be waiting for that ship myself. Hope it will outperform certain other famous historical Swedish ship on whose deck I had the pleasure of standing as a young boy.

Agreed

Being soon one week on vacation means there's little chance I'll get the commander. And there's no way I'm going to spend valuable coal or doubloons on a commander.

Making everything time-gated these days really adds a lot of frustration to the game. Fun and frustration mix together as well as oil and water.

I don't know the requirements of the missions/directives so I can't comment on that yet.

But I will never approve events based on loot boxes and gambling along with rewards (such as legendary captain) with a short time-limit.

That's a NO NO in my book.

Hey, don't knock the Vasa, it's literally twice the ship the Mary Rose is ;)

As has been said, looks like the success or otherwise of British Cruisers 2 is going to hinge on those directives, so I suppose only time will tell on that one.

Simple as that - money.

You can't monetise missions - but you certainly can monetise lootboxes to get Cunningham (faster)

Or why do you think they move Leg-Mods to the NTC?
