Good luck! 1. I own the ship and like it. It's not exciting, but it is a solid performer over a long battle despite its short(ish) range. 2. I paid for the ship with cash which means I chose to buy it and enjoyed it immediately. 3. A big thank you to Ze_Reckless for pointing out clearly how microscopic these odds are - something which WG obviously never does with its loot boxes, grinds et cetera. 4. Without a 10-point captain, this ship will get you killed time after time and you'll not win her so I'd say don't use it … just grind your normal ships.
[-RNR-] Maris_Piper Players 2,012 posts Report post #7 Posted January 24, 2020 I have the Leander and I enjoy playing the ship, I thought Perth would be the improved ship with it's engine rooms moved apart for added survivability, Oh no tWG just made the citadel bigger and took away the heal. so much for realism again. I'm glad I got to play it for free though but I won't buy it as it stands, not a bad ship but prefere Leander and as for winning it. not holding my breath. And unless you already own a Haida or Perth its a long grind to a 10 point captain, I find both very enjoyable especially when using the crawling smoke and seeing people that don't realise its mechanics shooting behind me, I guess more will be aware after this event though

To be fair, you can get the win in COOP so no captain points are needed. Also, experienced players have enough elite xp to buff any captain to 10 points from the get go if needed. Anyone who was thinking about buying this ship can take a test drive and make an informed decision.

[-MCD-] TWNWA Players 88 posts 17,818 battles Report post #11 Posted January 25, 2020 WG, here's an (possibly not so bad) idea: make some (of your so beloved) bundles with this ship at decent prices and maybe more of us would celebrate Australia's Day. [OGHF2] Hugh_Ruka Players 4,054 posts 5,660 battles Report post #15 Posted January 27, 2020 Typical WG implementation of a good idea: 1. Use the webpage instead of ingame login/first game for time the offer ... Why ??? I have to remember when I get home and have time to play to click this. If it was based on client login, that would be much better 2. Tier 6 ship with 3 point captain in a line that has 3 ships ? And you expect people to play that and WIN with it ? How about at least a 10 point captain ? So you basically made any participants either spend Elite captain XP or FreeXp to effectively participate or gimp the participants to be a boat anchor with 3 point captains to their teams. Or go COOP which most of the people will do I guess...

And we didn't make anyone do anything, this was an optional event that only required one win, either in COOP or random. COOP takes less than 10 minutes and can easily be done with a 3-point commander. If we limited this to randoms only, then I'd understand your frustration.
