Hayate - WG responds to the community feedback

So experts and community contributors indicated that Hayate would need to be stealthier in order to become competitive.

 

WG did the opposite, and most recent Hayate stats nerfed its detection range to that of Harugumo.

 

Thank you WG, I knew we could count on you.

What is a source for this? Hayate had 6.1km full stealth build, which is better then Haru btw. I never find any info that its detection range is nerfed.

It's not a better gunboat than other gunboats including gearing, it's not a better torp boat than shima, considering the new upcoming module with 1.8km fixed torp detection plus the amount of CVs in the game, why would anyone be interested in this ship anyway, except collectors?...

Yes because I'm not a gun boat DD captain. I don't know how to play them. I like sneakin as Smeagol would say.. Maybe I should try and learn..

7.7 km base concealment is about on par with ze Germans. Z-52 has 7.7-something base concealment which gives about 6.1 km with full stealth.

Possibly interesting, if not for being TX and earning less credits than T9 premiums.

 

Statwise it likely has a very different playstyle since it is a LOT slower and has no heal.

Add: Worse concealment, worse gun ballistics, no smoke if taking TRB afaik, Grozo has access to LM with improved reload.

 

Hayate will never make it as open water gunboat. In fact I wonder how well it can hit a target at 10+ km.

It might well be a better DD brawler though.

 

My 1 mio fXP will go to Friesland for the premium credit earning potential, and dakka (i'm very much a gunboat DD player).

Still no. Because;

 

1. Grozovoi has heal, does hayate have heal? No.

2. Hayate 15 shots/min, Harugumo 20 shots/min, Gearing 20 shots/min, Grozovoi 14 shots/min, YueYang 15 shot/min.

3. Hayate HP 20800, Grozovoi HP 20900 without the heal, Gearing HP 19400, Harugumo HP 25600, YueYang HP 18500

4. Hayate top seed 37,5Knots, Grozovoi 39,5Knots

5. TCR Hayate 750m, Grozovoi 720m

6. Hayate torps 2x5, Shima torps 3x5

7. If Hayate uses Reload Booster it has to be slotted in Smoke slot. So, is giving up the smoke for extra torps which you can launch only four times, in Tier 10 games, where CVs will just sink it without a sweat, worth it or not? 

To me, it's not worth it.

pls read Economy in wiki...

for more than 2 years T10 makes more money from T9...

It actually says that on the wiki page? Not that it's surprising. It's WG :Smile_facepalm:

 

Non-silver T10 never did and still don't earn as much as T9 non-silver ships.

 

T9s are Premium ships with premium earning modifiers while T10s are classified as "Special ships" and earn credits corresponding to a T10 with a permaflage. In other words, T9s premiums earn far more credits than T10 special ships.
