Not sure if I opened 11 or 12 (lost count and WG made sure you cannot track anywhere how many you opened so far) but not a sign of a ship. 

 

Seems like these drop chances are lower than ever and WG wants us to pay the 1,000 doubloons to have a tiny but higher chances. No, thank you - I don't endorse and financially support manipulative scammers.

I've bought 6 goldbundles and got Hawkins and Devonshire. I don't have any use of them solving the dirctive. but i'm not prepered to buy another 60 goldbundle to get the 7 and 8 tier.

There was someone on the forums few days ago (too lazy to find the post) who got a single ship I believe out of 13-14 premium bundles he bought.

 

EDIT: Here it is. Well, it isn't clear if he got anything before than T8 but to me it sounds like that's the one and only ship he got from 13-14k doubloons. "A bit" overpriced, huh?

 

 

Not the only one but as I said - I'm too lazy to search for those posts. I found this one because I remembered I replied to it straight away.

I don't gamble. And the practice of having to buy crates / loot boxes / bundles or whatever they are called with random drop chances in whatever game is gambling and should be banned. Belgium was right. I sincerely hope that Parliament does something about it, too.

 

I completely understand that a 'free-to-play' game also needs to make money, and I happily spent (and will spend) mine on premium ships that I believe are good value for money but I want to know what I am paying for.

 

WoWS is a great game, and Wargaming have to be applauded for all their efforts to make history (with some poetic licence) a real life experience, but that doesn't mean that I can endorse all their practices. I really wish they would listen and get ahead of the game, so to speak, before the regulator steps in.

Well, BismarckGhost, I have THREE sets of directives completed with no ship to show for it so far and ALL of the possible crates opened for the 10 tokens available per day with no British cruiser in my port.

 

WG, could we please have a ship that drops after a certain amount of fails? This is called a 'pity timer' which more intelligent companies have.

 

Please don't mention the pathetic flags which do not interest me - I am swimming in those by just playing the game. They hold no value for me. I'll get no premium white Victorian camo, would have to spend the time on the grind and the Captains to arrive to a point which other players get to for free because … ReasonsTM. Why is that motivating, WG? Why?

 

Watch this space for no answer from employees tired of being asked for non-existent explanations for the Puerto Rico, Loot boxes, 'speshul' specials et cetera.

That really sucks. So far I have been "lucky" at such events - normally I get at least one, and sometimes 2 ships. Lv.5 and 6 are more common, lv. 7 once before and lv. 8 - well, never.

This matched my "best" result year - between 2nd and 3rd directive got lv.5 from the daily missions, and from the tokens in directive 3 - lv.7

I've done all possible crates so far, so pretty much the same number of bundles to try my luck. Keep the faith and maybe you get rewarded with lv. 8?

The phrase 'spirit of the law' vs 'letter of the law' springs to mind... :(

 

The question remains why as a company you would do such a thing that stands in direct contradiction to the point of the event.

 

'Early access' to build up enthusiasm for a new game feature only works, if players actually get access to it. Otherwise it should be called a 'lottery for early access', with a minute win chance for the individual. But that doesn't really enthuse anyone.

 

I am beginning to miss those days of early beta, where there was limited content but it was more fun. Remember when there weren't even camouflages. Or just one Russian ship with superpowers. Bliss.

 

Companies have to grow in order to survive, but it sadly seems someone has taken a wrong turn somewhere. If only they'd see the error of their ways...

Offering them just requires more paperwork.

Same here. 

 

Seems like the odds of getting any ship are lower than ever.

 

It's like a trend WG is testing and no matter how small the odds are, nobody can complain because they will just say "It's just RNG" even though they are the ones setting the chance this directly influencing the chances of players getting a ship.

 

They probably think most of the player-base has low IQ to figure that out.
