Wont have any effect, because the ban is for Credit Card Gambling. In other words 'gambling' with money you dont have, which doesn't effect other forms of payment.

So wait.. this is an EARLY ACCESS event (as in, everyone will get the ships for free NEXT patch) and people still whine that they may not get a ship in the FREE bundles? I understood a lot of the PR frustration but this is idiotic.

The 4 ships are an equivalent of what? 300-400k FreeXP? And 4 ship slots on top of that. And 4 unique premium camos that might not be otherwise available for years to come.

 

Early access should simply not be random. You play, you get a ship. You play like a madman*, you get all the ships. You don't give a damn, you get nothing. The original british BBs were the best solution. You completed a chain of missions, you got the T3. You then completed another chain of missions -> T4. And if on top of that you also completed the last chain of missions, you got the T5.

Technically even RN CVs were somewhat judiciously released: you grinded enough special tokens? You can buy the first bundle with the T4. You then grinded an even larger sum? You can buy the T6 bundle. Do you want the T8 bundle as well, then you needed to buy some premium crates to get enough tokens for that last bundle.

 

*No, this is an exageration, I do not mean to grind as if you were going for PR in order to get future freely researchable ships.

Hmm bought 8 of the doubloon ones, just to see what I could get. No coal (which was the primary reason for buying), but a plethora of flags, which is nice. And the T5 ship. Worth it? Hmmm not really. Wonder what my tokens will bring, one can hope for a T8, but that's rare. I thought there would be like 15-16 to buy, but ohh no, 65!!!! that's just insane. Won't buy more doubloon ones. Not worth it.. Stay away...

Gun range is terrible considering they are heavy cruisers. They are out ranged by all the other cruisers at their tiers apart from a few lights. The 14 second reload does nothing to endear the T6 to me either.

Yet another pseudo-event to make people spent dopubloons.

Chance for getting early acess thru making directives is very low.

 

WG you made very nice event on early access to british cv.

Everyone was able to grind ships , or not , everyone was able to plan that grind and see when he will get ships with 100% chance to ge them.
This event was clear and fair-people was able to plan their progress and for their effort they have a guaranteed rewards.

 

Now its pure random- no matter how much effort is laid into game you never know if you get anything- OR- spent your money and STILL NO GUARANTEE you get something, unless you spent extremly amount of money.

 

This in simple moneygrab not a event.

Just finished the first directive, won enough points for 4 attempts at the free to pay boxes, won  nothing of interest, is there anyway of earning more Brit points or do I have to wait fro daily prize and/or the next directive to open up??

Of course not, these are not premium ships. We can get them by grinding in a few weeks when they become available.

Five Token Loot Boxes opened and sixth Loot Box is known, no Early Access cruisers in them. From six known loot boxes all contained same 400 coal, Union Jack Camouflage and flags box.

 

Event in my opinion is just boring, rewards are poor but at least directives are not crazy like PR directives, line is not very interesting me so beyond CB's it's rather good time for a little rest. I have no intention of spending even single dubloon for Early Access content. Still maybe second part will be more interesting if we get this new RN legendary capitain.

So far, out of like 50-60 players I've talked to... only 1 got the lowest tier from those 5-6 loot boxes.

 

Even the addicts paying 1000 doubloons don't seem to have much higher chances.

Just wanted to add a bit (my first post so please be nice)... Have got the t8 in the first pay box, still debating if I should part with my cash. Plus got the t6 (Devonshire) in the third token box once I had finished the first directive...

With regards the whole thing I like the token /directives as it adds a bit more to the game with no extra effort from me.. I play as I play and get what I get. Paying for the boxes is want it is, if you want to pay then good for you but its not for me, though that t8 with pretty camo is very tempting at the mo. 

As for the gambling thing loot boxes perhaps fall outside of the pure definition as "technically" you are not gambling but paying for the minimum reward but just have a chance to get somthing better. If it were gambling then the possibility would be that you end up with nothing. With a loot box you will always end up with somthing, a loop hole perhaps 🤔

If however it is classed as gambling then the game would have to be reclassified as a PEGI18 which would mean age verification would have to be introduced and that will probably have to be more than just a tick box saying "yes I am over 18".
