The first line scared me off: Their guns can cause significant damage per salvo, but have a relatively short firing range and arching shell trajectory.

Smells very off to me, so in a cruiser, a squishy cruiser we have to get ultra close to make a difference.....so we have to overcome being spotting by planes. dd's and everything else, get within firing range and actually last long enough to hit something? What are the firing ranges?

And already the holiday, greedy PR money grab is finsihed and we're force-fed more of this bloody random chances garbage?

What is wrong with you people? What is it going on your minds?...Are you trying to kill the game, or get rid of players? With so many options for so many events , the last ones were a masterpice of a débil irrational and sick mind...is there no one in charge? or is WG like the old KGB? Somebody has a little power decides to screw up the game and there is none of the staff with balls or freedom of opinion to say: "Wait, this is all wrong…" I am just waiting to see the directives….4000 citadels with japanese dds, 1.500.000 base experience with pan american ships and the best of all 5.000.000 free experience with subs,( being released on 0.9.2 )… About subs, that will be the end... for me this was a kind of a médium game, simple basics, nice interaction with players. You, WG, are going down the stairs, to the basement to find more and more creepy ways of loosing actual and new players, congrats!!!

actually. whats wrong with you. if you dont want grind just dont grind.

i know you will continue to grind.  and wg will see you. and keep going this events. wg's logic is fine. your logic?

Some of the daily shipments - 50 k credits, 50 db.

WG's generosity knows no bounds

This is typical of them of late, they actually wasted some persons time and now want to waste our patience with them with daily shipments that are so badly underwhelming it beggars belief. WG wake up, honestly man, what the hell is wrong with you lately? Those daily shipments are basically worthless and don't even start on the free BS, you're meant to foster continued interest in your game, not bore us death or mock our intelligence.

Does WG publish loot crate win rate percentages anywhere? I was under the impression it was EU law that gambling boxes such as these were required to show them somewhere?

They don't because the drop chances are so possibly pathetically low most people wont buy any and they probably tweak them so often to control the hype they'd get caught out.

Most people have spending limits - (true/false ?) - if true continue reading below.

Every time a person buys a lottery ticket/container and gets jackshit you are lowering that person's willingness to spend (true/false ?) - if true continue.

You are designing your income machine from the erroneous hypothesis that Wows players are casino serfs and will gamble away their last dollar.  Since the opposite is true you are inevitably alienating customers with the casinoesque cash grab system.

I have said it before - focus on the core creative staff while diversifying your product range. We want beautiful premium ports with moving animals like orcas and seals. Not many people would spend huge money on premium ports but many might spend 5-10 dollars per premium port if it was pleasant and permanent once bought. And natural ambient soundtracks instead of an annoying cacaphony of every military noise you can cram in. Or why not Klaus Kinski running around on a beach being chased by cannibals (the film Cobra Verde) - things of that nature.

Until you develop Wows the rpg or mystery puzzle game(s) as a part of Wows you have to make time in port more meaningful.

Interesting perspective. Relative is meaningless, but numbers are useful. From the wiki (which I assume are based on last reported numbers released by WG to the ST group, as they were not available on the PTS).

Name Stock Upgrade Name Stock Upgrade
Hawkins 12.7km 13,9km Emerald 12.4km 13.6km
Devonshire 12.7km 14km Leander 12km 13.2km
Surrey 13.5km 14.8km Fiji 14km 15.4km
Albermarle 14.3km 15.7km Edinburgh 14km 15.4km

Not sure if any spotter planes are available to extend that. I'm an optimist though. Let's wait for the patch to hit, check the actual numbers, and then freak out.

Also not sure about the available concealment numbers as Surrey seems to have a better base concealment range than Fiji.

Oh look, it's the same sh*t they pull off since years now.

Nothing new, just the old milking method, because never fix a running system?

I can tell you tho, I find these event so dull. They certainly don't hype me for new lines anymore. (Not like I expect you to bring a balanced line anyways)

@MrConway @Crysantos
If your company creates copy and paste events please copy and paste my past comments critizism of them as well. It will at least keep you busy. I'm so tired of this endless circle and so disappointed in Wargamings communication behavior by now, I'm at a loss for new words.

You do realise that anything we say will be noted and ignored, as they only listen to the Russian player base, we just have to suck it up or go elsewhere.

Sadly this is 100% accurate

Oh nono, they didn't just copy old stuff. They copied the previous stuff and once more managed to make it worse for us. They're really good at that. :cap_like:

How is that? Well apparently they took away the only decent mechanic in the bundle approach. Previously you knew that as long as you accumulate enough tokens/currency/whatever... you would get all rewards eventually. Now you can accumulate an infinite amount (I presume the tokens will be dropping from premium crates like always) and still only get signals and camos. Genius! :cap_like:

You can always count on WG to screw everything up in new and inventive ways. :Smile_trollface:

There is such a law in China, not the EU.

I am kind of done with WG at this point.
About the win chances of stuff in World of Warships. I usually log in quite often, and rarely get a supercontainer or meaninfull discounts.
But when a buddy logs in after 2 month of not playing, he got 2 supercontainers in a row. Several days of Premium time (i think it was 7 days), 3 Rental ships, and "When you buy doubloons, you get 200% of them" discount.

So the chances are even set on how regular your play, and how much you may have payed over your time in WOWs.

Looking forward to 0.9.1 when I get chance to use the RN CAs, without spending real money its highly unlikely I'll see my use of them in 0.9.0. I'll simply wait.

Player with 10k+ battles will be in game no matter what will happen. That's why it is not necessary to care about 'old customers' they will be loyal anyway. Btw look at mobile phones, same situation. Promotion time and free stuff ended. I don't understand why players are surprised that is just business, and company to exist need cash.

Unless WG make the maps a hell of a lot smaller, the firing ranges for the t7 and t8 ships are woefully pathetic, especially when you'll be facing off against t9's and 10's most of the time - Not sure how I figure WG's dodgy rationale these days....lets give them large calibre weaponary, but reduce their firing range so they only get chance to use it once before dying. Utter genius WG. Concealment ranges are relatively unreliable in my view, ships are spotted by planes, etc etc, so unless you have perpetual smoke it seems ridiculous.

WG Copy rinse repeat. And guys we all know that WG only cares if you open your wallet! Dont be surprised when every new event is surrounding you spending money. For WG to listen to there player base you need to get a large percentage of people to stop spending money on the game,But this will never happen in a million years.

So in short stop playing the game or just put up with it.

Now I have done 10 battles with my Puerto Rico and just as I suspected I became bullied. Even my teammates looked the other way and didn't help me. The very same as with Smolendsk even if she can bite back a little more.

The Devonshir historically had the ability to launch & recover floatplanes, but for reasons of biasbalance, the ship in the game do not.

Should be interesting, as of 14th April 2020,  you can no longer gamble online with a credit card in the UK, I expect the rest of teh EU to follow suit.  I wonder how this will impact loot boxes.

I seem to remember that these "promotions" were introduced to stop servers being full of 1,000s of low tier newly launched ships, now it seems to be for making money.   Why do WG assume that all customers have a very short-term memory.

Money. Make sure tier 7-8 aren't quite fun, so people skip them to get "proper" ships you can sell premium paints for:cap_cool:

If memory serves me right, first ship release to "offload lowtier strain" were French BBs, where you could get "blueprints" for each tier via mission chain. Clean and quick

My ship TREE is not complete. The BELFAST AND THUNDERER are not on it plus others I use. No point in having a SHIP TREE if some are not listed on it.    Would like to see all ships in use on all TREES at  PRICE. Would like the BELFAST but unable to buy it as it is not on the BRITISH TREE.

There is a mod you can install in you installed game (official mod application) which allows to see all hidden branches. The problem is it let crowded your page and difficult to handle the current ships.
