You do realise that anything we say will be noted and ignored, as they only listen to the Russian player base, we just have to suck it up or go elsewhere.

Elsewhere starts to look promising...

More time-limited currencies ("tokens"), more random lootbox system of "early access" for ships, and a hilariously stingy set of lootbox and daily log-in "rewards".

Yeah, this isn't your high point, WG.

What is wrong with you people? What is it going on your minds?...Are you trying to kill the game, or get rid of players? With so many options for so many events , the last ones were a masterpice of a débil irrational and sick mind...is there no one in charge? or is WG like the old KGB? Somebody has a little power decides to screw up the game and there is none of the staff with balls or freedom of opinion to say: "Wait, this is all wrong…" I am just waiting to see the directives….4000 citadels with japanese dds, 1.500.000 base experience with pan american ships and the best of all 5.000.000 free experience with subs,( being released on 0.9.2 )… About subs, that will be the end... for me this was a kind of a médium game, simple basics, nice interaction with players. You, WG, are going down the stairs, to the basement to find more and more creepy ways of loosing actual and new players, congrats!!!

It's a good thing in a way - was getting burnt out by one increasingly harder set of missions/directives after the other so this is pushing me towards moving on and just playing other games for fun!

This is getting to be almost like work - play every day so as not to miss completing the daily missions - play longer so as to complete directives.....slowly but surely sucking all the actual fun out of playing.

Games are supposed to be fun and something we do to relax - I am not not feeling it WG!:Smile_sad:

Does WG publish loot crate win rate percentages anywhere? I was under the impression it was EU law that gambling boxes such as these were required to show them somewhere?

You can get early access to tiers V - VIII in 0.9.0 (in a few days).

Once 0.9.1 goes live you'll be able to obtain tiers V - X in the tech tree.

I would be nice to get a self-sufficient article from WG once in a while.

1. Dates for the directives END are in the article but 0.9.0 patch date is nowhere to be found (a link to the patch article would be sufficient, oh wait, it does not exist).

2. Directive description is not in the article yet it states they can be checked in the client ... at the date of publication they cannot ....

3. Why are the British tokens so cheap all of a sudden ? The previous ones were 22500 credits, now only 4500 ?

Was this published by mistake ahead of time ?

Seriously, can't you even do webpage articles properly anymore ?

Well 0.9.2 coincides with my new gaming laptop arrival ... so back to EVE Online for me after that :-) they seem to value my money more ...

Well, I'll answer what I can.

1. We don't usually give the date ahead of time as it can change last minute. But it is coming this week - EU – 05:00 UTC - 16.01.2020.

2. Correct.

Ahead of time? We usually post the event details before the updates notes are released, otherwise the update notes would be very long.

So if I understand this well, completing directives only gives you a random chance to get something. There's no end reward whatsoever, something to aim for.

You gain max 600 tokens and a lootbox (let's call a cat, a cat) costs 20 tokens so that's 30 draws max.

So even if you are a "dedicated player" (let's reuse WG's beloved terminology) you may just receive some random "junk" (well, special signals are nice but we all know you're more likely to get a cammo anyway - see how the cammo is in nearly every bundle).

Let's add the fact that the chances of getting the different ships are likely skewed in favour of the lower tier (i.e. tier 5 and 6, likely - tier 7 and 8, you're better off just playing the lottery).

WG clearly knows that just early access to those ships would not drive many people into buying lootboxes to complete their collection of ships (since they are just tech tree ships after all) so they bundle them with a shiny perma cammo to attract the whales.

In the Italian cruiser event you could buy perma cammos with tokens. In the UK CA event you better be lucky... or spend real money...

Well, since I'm not interested in grinding for a chance to get something I'll just ignore this event completely. Dedicating my time to something is usually done with a goal in mind. The goal cannot possibly be just a "random chance".

In a way it's a relief since that means I can focus on playing ships I want instead of ships that are better suited for such or such task. Sooo, thanks WG? I guess.

While British heavy cruisers are nice, long overdue addition....

It's amusing how temporary-Tokens becoming basically worthless in space of 3-4 months.

It was always a nice bonus if you had some and didn't wasted them on illusory RNG or over-inflated "rewards" in Armory. Current patch token valuation is hopeless - considering the effort required - 7500/token. In 0.9.0 it'll be 4500. And there will be over 4 times less Tokens (max 600) in the system while valuation went down further 40%. How does that stack up with events where you could obtain much more at 12500 or 22500?

And unused PR Tokens will be converted next patch in 30 days. WTF?

Yes... WG you can choke and shove these events. I've sat yesterday for couple hours on the Account Deletion page. At this moment in time I don't really care I have 450ish days of premium.

Their EU HQ is in Nicosia, Cyprus. Whilst Cyprus is technically in the EU, Nicosia being a divided city due to historical conflicts, means that by special dispensation it's not technically governed by EU law.

THIS ^^^

One money grabbing event finishes and another "grind every day" event starts.  There's rarely a break where you can just play for fun or grind a ship or a line of your own choosing without feeling some compulsion to tick off missions and grab some of the shiny rewards available.  I appreciate the events WG, but seriously, give yourselves and us a rest and leave some breathing space in between them.

While this may be true, selling a product in an EU country has to comply with EU law, regardless of where their HQ is. This goes for food, medicine as well as games. So they do need to show the chances you get.

2019 taught me a good few things about WG, one of them is "Not To Trust Them"  I'll hang on to  see where the Sting is, I may be pleasantly surprised who knows but earning back something like respect that was lost through greed takes time and I'm not sure that Wargamings Ethics and Honesty up to it, Sorry that's how I see it Folks not angry just sad.it's come to this :Smile_sad:

Adding a "unlimited draws"?...

Wargaming, what the f**k kind of drugs are you taking...? This is basically gambling, have you realized it? And with this "gimmick", you are basically forcing the people to use their money to get those somewhat guaranteed. What are you doing? Are you okay? You are creating an avalance by the second! Of course, this does not matter as much as PR, cause we are still able to get the ships via conventional method later, but that you have the audacity, the recklessness to go this far? Is what worries me, this is why I am unable to sink my creditcard into this, why I dont want to, and with this speed, I hope others stop using their creditcards as well...

I hope that I misunderstood the unlimited draws thing, But I am dissapointed that the fear of it exsists....

For what I know, it's not up to the EU to decide that. Each EU member State decides whether game companies have to show probabilities of loot boxes or not. Same goes for classifying loot boxes as gambling: not every State in the European Union classify loot boxes as gambling. That's why in most of the EU loot boxes are legal (as far as I've read, Belgium and the Netherlands are the only countries that ban them in the EU).

For example, I live in Italy and not only loot boxes are not banned here, but I also can't see the percentage of loot boxes. But as I said, it differs from country to country.

I will not bother with reading the requirements, terms, dates and other conditions.

Will just play as usual and later look up what i can unlock with the tokens.

If i get a ship i will play it, sure.

But i won´t hope for.

And just happens to be a well known centre for money laundering / tax avoidance.
