As @fumtu kindly posted on the “news around the world” thread, there are info about an upcoming Blyskawica buff on turret and torpedo tubes angles.

Blyska already received a ~8% DPM buff with her reload going from 6,5sec to 6sec, do you think that the next quality of life improvement will reduce the powercreep on this destroyer?

I dont consider Qol changes as "buff" in general

Give it better reload and stealth, then we can start to talk about if its enough.

Imho Blyska and Mahan desperately need concealment buff. Somewhere in the territory of 6.2-6.4km I would say.

This almost 7km is unbearable, since the game introduced blatant full gunboats with approx. the same concealment (french and soviet) after the Blyska and Mahan release.

Tier 8 Benson is in a better spot because of the concelament upgrade. Tier 7 old DDs suffer the most because of the concealment powercreep.

PS: Instead of turret angles (thich will be nigh useless and forgetable) they could buff the rotation speed at least, if they hesitate buffing the horribad concealment.

Yeah! I agree with you: 6.2/6.4km will make them more competitive compared to other ibrid gunboats like Vaquelin or Gadja

The only thing that's been power crept is the slow cruiser rudder shift, which was used to balance agasint old DDs like Hatsuharu. It should be 3 - 3.4s, not 4.6s.

Guns:

Dual turrets give it a nice advantage over faster firing 5x1 single mounts found on US, Russian, German and French gunboats/leaders. Learn to kite like IJN DDs if you get into a brawl with those guys. This is well balanced.

The 6s reload buff wasn't necessary, same goes for the firing arcs.

Torpedoes:

1km+ stealth buffer with poor RN arcs is more than enough to hunt/stalk cruisers and BBs. This is well balanced. Changing it won't do anything.

Concealment:

Concealment is perfect for tier 7. Tier 8 destroyers will always have an unfair advantage thanks to the games 'progression' and smaller fleet destroyers with less HP and guns should have stealth advantage. This is well balanced.

Learn how to play around it, we don't want more brain dead OP premiums with a concealment advantage 'built in' (Heida, Z-39)

Also.... Under tiered J/K/N class destroyers have powercrept all destroyers at tier 7. They should be moved to tier 8, not buff everyone else to their standard (6km concealment, crazy number of devastating torps, high DPM in dual turrets)

Edit:

Minsk is the one that needs a major buff. IJN torpedoes could do with a small concealment boost too.

Dunno. Being able to show less broadside while getting guns on target isn't a bad thing. But it strikes me as something that's situationally useful rather than a straight up buff.

It seems like they want her to play more like an open water gunboat rather than making her stealthier and in the process perhaps less characterful. But in that case she might need some tweaks to maneuverability and turret traverse as well to make her effective in that role.

6.4km concealment WG.

Now please can you give me some money for sorting this out for you?  Why you employ people to come up with these pointless buffs is beyond me.

Agreed about the stealth, the firing angles might help a little but it's stealth is the issue. It may have been sufficient back in the stealth firing days, but the game has changed a lot around her since then, and she's become a poster child for power creep.

She is the very essence of power creep and a relic of days past..

Oh the days of stealth firing.......In WOWS and WOT with anti tank guns..

A 14s turret traverse is fast enough to keep guns on target in a full turn and a 6s reload negates the need for amazing firing arcs angles.

Not getting blapped by BBs and cruisers whist dodging is key, a normalised rudder shift will do the trick. 39 knots with a 620m turning circle is still class leading.

Alos, don't forget Vauquelin is a contre-torpilleurs, it should be able to smack fleet destroyers and leaders like Blys. These were classed as light cruisers by many, it's the French thing.

And what would a 340m buff do exactly? Get you sunk quicker... It's not like you can push into a tier 8 or something like GM without taking huge damage from their teammates before they finish you off. It's always been an issue for tier 7 ships, always will be. Give it a competitive 5.8-6km and your screwing over tier 6 DDs.

Removing the tier 8 concealment equipment would be the most fair/balanced way of buffing Blys in that regard.

hmm ... got the Blyska recently when it was introduced into the Armory for coal. I don't have a CE captain for it yet. played one game in it, maybe I had luck on stupid enemies, but I managed 4 kills and decent damage ...

firing arcs buff would be nice but I'd prefer builtin IFHE since it has only 120mm guns and can get into T9 matches ....

Similar to me. Got it a few days ago, and quite enjoyed it so far (only 9 games). Can do a lot of damage with 7 guns, and you have 4 available during the "run away" phase. Torp angles will be a nice mini buff, as they are pretty narrow at the moment.  I always play assuming i'm going to be spotted first, so you are a little reliant on CVs or friendly (stealthy) DDs during the early phase of the game.

Does need  a good captain though. A 15 pointer is just about the lowest I'd want to play with

Doesn´t sound like it will make much difference.

Give it either reload or speed

Dont touch the stealth that is Jap strength

These 'buffs' address none of the issues Blys have. Actually it would need so many buffs that it would be a completely different ship. The only strength it had back in the day, the only reason why it was good, was the ability to stealth fire. Since this is gone the Blys became what it always was, a bad ship all around. Slow reload, horrible concealment, really bad maneuverability, abysmal slow turret traverse, low caliber guns that deal no damage, bad firestarter, huge in size and easy to hit, torps are bad. It really had only 2 things going for it, it looks amazing and it could stealth fire - and this was when there wasn't nearly as many powercreeper in the game, the CV rework (Blys has zero ability to defend itself against CVs) was in far future, and so on and on.

I doubt concealment will change but 6.5km would suffice along with a torp range extended to 9km or even 9.5km?

Do you want more concealment than akatsuki - 6.4 km. This is not fair.

It's not a good ship, but it's not as useless as Maas or Minsk.

It's more that newer Tier 7 DDs need nerfs than Blyska needing many buffs. And in that regard, any QoL changes are very welcome. (For one I hate the Gadjah Mada limitations anytime you aren't charging forward.)

I really don't get a concealment mod on t8+ ships, wtf is it, give your crew some hacksaws to chop the masts off, shove bogroll down the smoke stacks to cut down the smoke??

I had to look up when open water stealth firing was removed. 2017, it seems. So long ago that it seems daft to keep going on about it.

I think a rudder buff would be more useful overall but armament traverse changes have a similar utility without trespassing on the USP of other ship lines.

It's still a strong, fast, heavily gunned destroyer. If it suffers from anything it's from Tier VII MM and that from Tier VIII on the game progression and ship development starts to become fantastical.
