EmilyKing Players 279 posts 6,224 battles Report post #1 Posted January 8, 2020 so this week raptor rescue feels really bugged. ive had quite a few games where the convoy's AI ships all decide to randomly go in random directions. this screenshot is just one example. the bogue ran off south, the repair ship went up north, while raptor was heading NW. im not sure why they're doing this, i dont think anyone was blocking them. i did notice during last week's narai some of the AI ships were bugging out with their pathing too, noticably more so than previously. [CPC] NoirLotus [CPC] Quality Poster 2,545 posts 13,201 battles Report post #8 Posted January 8, 2020 It must the same bug seen on Narai where AI ships make huge detours if a ship of the team is on their way, and then never return to their target destinations. Anyway autopilot is just really shitty. Yesterday in coop I put a waypoint in the middle of the map almost straight ahead of my ship, it nevertheless took a 90° turn to the right, then 90° to the left before going where I wanted ...

You mean the Raptor when pushed against an island and not the escorts randomly going in all directions like what OP is describing is happening since only this latest patch? [-IAN-] IanH755 Players 2,100 posts 7,141 battles Report post #18 Posted January 9, 2020 Hey @MrConway or @Crysantos - Guess what, another Scenario ruined by bugged AI Autopilot after the "CV Autopilot" tweak of 0.8.11. I have to ask, do you personally still think that there is any point still playing these heavy screwed Scenarios seen as this is the 4th Scenario in a row that WG's "CV Fix" has badly broke? I mean I know WG have stated that they don't care about PvE anymore but leaving them as badly bugged as this just isn't "fair" to customers, and WG already has very little customer satisfaction left so this is justy another reason not to recommend this game to new players for me.

Well, seems like the usual WG tactics. Leaving bugs in the Game intentionally and thereby "forcing" players out of the mode. When asked for fixing they just can reply: "Not enough players to be bothered with fixing" Et voila, mission accomplished 😂

I only started playing recently, and seeing videos about the Operations on youtube was a pretty big reason behind my wanting to start; I could do PvP in dozens of games if I wanted to. If Operations were removed (or just not fixed), that would be a pretty major draw removed from the game for me, I'd probably lose a lot of interest.

Atm I'm kinda on "coop 1st daily crate, then log out" mode, except days where I can get the extra 1k xp. The operations were already getting boring with the limited choice we've had since a YEAR and the added bugs since 8.11 and the "if narai" n00bs since server migrants have made this mode even more unfun. The only good thing about the game atm is that the rewards are kinda awesome, but next patch all the snowflakes will melt and we will get the preview of a line of cruisers without having the ability to pick permacamos because afaicr, they now come along with the ship for RNG grindcrates. Well and it is a good thing WG are finally revving up to create some additional lines but what good is this if the rest of the game is just not that fun anymore with more unfun stuff on the horizon? (legendary modules turned to NTC food basically and removal of their missions which is my main gripe regarding this here) So I'm decreasing my activity within the game for now. Also watching twitch less.

[CDD] Dutchy_2019 Players 1,927 posts 13,499 battles Report post #25 Posted January 10, 2020 Well, thinking of the issue this morning, and a comment made by someone in this or another thread concerning the tweak to 'repair' CV auto-pilot running into islands.... What if the bots now have a hard time (or cannot) distinguish between an island and a non-moving ship - and being programmed to keep a certain distance, moves away and these ships then completely loses the plot. This might also explain why the repair ship in Raptor docks on the wrong side of the carrier. Narai is a scenario where - by its very nature - you frequently encounter stopped or very slow moving ships close to where the support ships / bots need to go.
