Any compensations for Narai sto0len stars ?

I think is obvious by now, even for the most blind member of dev. team responsible for Narai Op.,  the player base who do enjoy this mod ( for several reasons - credits, XP, ships grind, directives, etc) I think is obvious for all , now,  the screw-up

made by the drunken bots who sail on suicide ways, ignoring the Op. scripts ( not disembarking troops,  Cimaron repair ship do not capture the port instead sail at the edge of the map, right where the enemy bots spam, and die there) - and making the 5 stars reward impossible or straight sabotage the Op. - all this , I suppose, should be considered for a compensation for all those players who lost flags, credits, etc., because they were all put in a position where the Op. could not by completed by any means for 5 stars, because the scripts are broken.

Not the players fault, and by all means the dev team in charge fault.

What do you think, guys ?

I played a number of battles over several days on KIller Whale and did OK on it.   I was going to play Narai but a day or two ago there were reports that the operation was bugged so I've avoided it.

I don't think there is any way for WG to distinguish between a team that did not protect the troop ships to one where the troop ship did not follow the script.  I'd also like to think that once a player was aware of the problems with the operation they would not waste any more flags on it.

I think WG should immediately remove it until it's fixed.

Are u really farming Narai with random players? Dude, open the “operations” chat in the client and you’ll never lose a star :fish_viking:

There is a thread on a bug in the Narai Operation.

Spoiler

I don't think being in a division would avoid the bug.

I have played Narai since the 200% XP bonus started and I got more than 500freeXP getting 5 stars every time, just got 4 stars once because a BB rammed a bot against an island and it bugged, but considering 3-4 Narais per day that doesn’t seem a relevant statistic and it was player fault.

Nope, but it will prevent losing the star because a good division will clear the bay so quick that an eventual bugged bot won’t be killed: as WG is not interested in PvE, I’m just suggesting a quick solution...

Did bot was pushed ealier during battle? In Saving Carrier Raptor accidental ramming of Raptor could make similar thing.

Farmed Narai today whole day on Zara and Gorizia with Luigi Sansonetti ( to level him up and get Amalfi for steel ) and it not happened ( but teams were pretty good and five stars got pretty often, one time two stars with potato team  ) so You had bad luck.

Also I think operations each week are a little bit different and a little bit changed. In Narai this time as I observed Atlanta during last counterattack goes from another side of the island while always she avoided island from one direction.

About Narai ( and Killer Whale ) few words more. Forts are still immune to the SAP shells while HE and AP are working... Seems legit for sure.

Nop, the bots randomly choose to ignore the points where they suppose to disembark ( no player controlled ship on the path, no "push" ) and instead the bots go crazy sailing right on the enemy spawn point.

Sometimes even Cimaron ( repair ship) will do that. The frequency of corrupted scripts is at least 60/70% of the games.

I have dozens of screenshots, many peoples complained, but aside of "we're going to look into" ,  nothing changed...

Sadly, because Narai was one of my favorite Ops, good for credits farm, but also handy now, for the directives...

But seems WG is only interested in our pockets....

WG need to withdraw the operation until they fix it, if they don't they are stealing peoples XP, no that's not too strong a word, they are responsible for breaking  it, will they, probably not, no financial gain for them, rather just upset players, for a broken game from a company only interested in $$$$ !!

@MrConway care too comment ????

In the thread I posted (in #4  of this thread) they asked for replays so the QA team could identify what was going on.   He also said that it was holidays so it may take a while to do.

I agree that as soon as a problem was notified to WG they should have pulled the operation (see post #2 in this thread).

And then. "We repair this Operation soontm"  It will return soontm as Cherry Bloosom or Dunquerke returned. Narai is awsome farming spot for free exp, credits, capitain exp so I bet fixing of it could take a little bit longer than typical soontm.

As mentioned above, a functioning team will be in the harbour long before this becomes an issue. If you have a team that follows the transports in, or ships going north and/or south that shouldn't be, then this bug is the least of your problems.

If it was the bug that was a serious issue and demanded compensation (in which case WG would pull it, so shut up please :Smile_playing:) then nobody would be getting five stars.

WG????? - Compensation for PvE??????? - :Smile_veryhappy:

As mentioned above the bugs have been reported and WG know about them, but seen as these new bugs appeared at the same time as the CV Autopilot was "tweaked" I'd say there won't be a fix just yet as fixes for PvP issues (like this CV Autopilot) are a far higher priority than de-bugging PvE modes after a patch breaks them, as WG themselves have said many times in Q'n'A's.

Hell Raptor Rescue has been bugged since it's first game way back in Summer 2017 and thats still not fixed! (Raptor hitting island and stopping).

WG compensating for a bugged PvE operation? :Smile_teethhappy: :Smile_teethhappy: :Smile_teethhappy:

Being in a division with the best players wouldn't help as the most you can get is 3/5 stars when the AI gets Fkd up and your transport ships go either on a suicide mission or back to starting point.

This has been brought to the attention of the support and WG staff a week ago. Still not a single word from any of them regarding the issue.

We all know how that works (from experience!).

We might get a brand new "reworked" Narai back in 2025.

To be honest ... this whole thing smells "fishy" and fabricated.

A great excuse to pull the operation from rotation, since many players were naive enough to post and brag about their farming results....

I think they removed the tier 8 Op because smart players would grind their tier 8 cruisers there.

Why would anyone smart grind a tier 8 cruiser without heal in randoms, where you would get tier 10 games half of the time?

I don't see how WG would even be able to 'compensate' players for lost signal flags. Even the practical impact of the bugs of narai this patch will differ between individuals. And apart from that I doubt WG will compensate this (even though I don't give any guarantees about this, but I wouldn't expect it either).

Guilty as charged. And tbf, randoms are generally speaking just an aweful experience.

Having said that, I do enjoy playing tier 8, yes even with tier 8 cruisers without any heals.

But last weekend, I did not enjoy my last 3(!!!) gaming sessions at all. Only thing I did enjoy was my divmates, but the battles were often simply unfun, dotted with a good game here and there.

i've played loads of narai with random guys and with clan divs, only once has one of the transports wandered off, and we still won with 5 stars...

(they removed the T8 because it had lots of cv's in it, and the AI hadn't been updated for the cv rework)

Which is BS excuse, as since day 1 of the REEEwork AI could "operate" aircraft in training rooms. And WG barely, if at all improved AI aircraft handling since then.

no they didn't the replaced CV's with a battleship in co-op at the start of the rework, they have since made it work in co-op so no reason why they shouldn't re-introduce it

I guess WG replaced CVs in operations/coop with battleship mostly to not embarass themselves with their glorious AI failing to carry out attack runs against moving targets... like they still do.

Unfortunately there is no way we can retroactively give battle rewards for bugs in Narai, sorry.

For the meantime I would switch to another mode or operation.
