PEOPLE ARE ADVANCING IN RANKED by PURE luck as their opponents are disconnected giving them instant win. It is infuriating, it is ridiculous, it is happening but there is nothing to be done about it. I had situations were I got killed due to this already. What happens is, I usually notice first that I can't fire (while I can still see what my team mates are doing). Then I see that my ping is listed at -35. A few seconds later the screen goes black. If I'm lucky, I can reconnect without restarting the whole game, but it takes a few min. It's become common enough that, if I leave the game running while in port and afk a bit, it's about 50/50 that I'll come back to the "reconnect" screen rather than to the port. Yes, yesterday I had two disconnects playing Ranked but then the server/game/or whatever it was settled down again. I ran PingPlotter the rest of the session and no other bad connections were logged. Ruined my last 3 battles in Kitakaze (that battle went well despite the ping problems early on, yet..ultimatically it did cost me my life, and thus..my team lost the only DD left to move and cap to have a chance of winning, Kagero (game froze for 4 sec and when it finally kept on I was detected by a shima and both an azuma and myoko used me for HE testing. Lastly the last battle in hipper, having to hit the mouse key again and again so guns finally fire after several seconds ... sucks Guess sever stability isn't important , especially when the elite 0.1% -UnemployedGamblingAddictedHealthIssue-players are supposed to free grind the puerto rico ... The usual -35ms ping, then disconnected. It doesn't take too long to log back in but by then my ship is usually destroyed. Super fun! Three days in a row. Now I'm testing by simply playing one coop battle and seeing how long I stay connected - doesn't take long for the log out.
