I must say from my personal experience is difficult to invite someone that I know to pay wows , people like gamepley , but game mechanics scare them away , In my opinion think WG need rethink whole unlocking ships for new players , I would sugest that cost of reserch of first line ships T1-T10 in xp and credits should be 75% lower  , second 50% cheaper , 3rd 25% lower and 4th and beyond would be regular price , that would give  better chance to stay in game for good.

(BTW I have reserched 18 T10 ships so I would not gain sugesting that)

No. Economy is way too forgiving already and it's fairly quick and easy for people to fail all the way to t10 with a low amount of battles. If anything, they need to spend more time learning the mechanics at low and mid tiers, unless you like having t10 team mates that play like they literally installed 5 min ago for the first time.

I'm also not about to compromise my friendships by spamming people with ads just so I can score some free loot. Attracting players is WG's job and these mechanics that seek to make players do it for them are annoying and best left ignored.

You have 12.4k battles , I dont know how old are you , I dont know what you are doing , but what you have written about economics in game is very egoistic , not everybody have 500mil credits 2.5mil free xp , and new players need to have way came easy to game , I have chalnge to you Captain_Neuman start new accout , and grind from nothing , so you can remember how that was , because just now you are sitting on your high horse and you dont realize that game will die without new players joining game .

Until and unless WG starts having meaningful tasks/missions for ships tier I - IV newcomers won't get enthused. As long as WG is focused on milking players for money by forcing them to play high tiers nothing will change.:Smile_coin:

I'm sorry WG but i actually like my friends :cap_like:

I wouldn't recommend this game at the start of 2019. It's a buggy mess that is focused more on implementing new ways to milk money than actually fixing/balancing the game.

Since then you have spat in the face of your customers/playerbase multiple times. The most recent of which being the PR debacle and the joke you call the Research Bureau.

Why would i recommend WOWS to a friend when they can go to steam and buy MULTIPLE BETTER games for less than you charge for one ship?

I recommend decent games with developers i trust.

Using CC's to spread false info, stealth editing articles, misleading statements and general arrogance. WG have shown more than once this year that they are literally not to be trusted...

Now then War Gaming. Here I am looking at your recruiting Post. I waited for the Black Friday event to me it was a non event, nothing that I wanted that I didn't already have, But I was looking forward to the Christmas Event even putting money to one side for the boosts, We don't need to go over the #PaytoRico  debacle  again as they will be long long  remembered,, Now on the horizon I'm looking with trepidation as  the Bureau is Pupating into it's original form of the NTC holding ship enhancing buffs behind it's dark walls.. Apart from the ex wife I can't think of anyone I would invite to play the game the trust is gone I play and enjoy the gams yes. I play some EA games. I see WG as no different anymore so Sorry it's the similar finger you gave us Guys...Merry Christmas' and keep an eye out for Jacob Marley.

The amount of “value” placed on divisioning by WG is too high. It requires you to be online at the same time. I have quite a lot of recruits, but I hardly encounter them in the game.

I liked the recruitment incentives of the past, but this is clearly a fail...

I have done this, back when I started this account years ago, it was easy and fast to get to t10, and I'm not sure why should new players have it any easier. I mean, if your claim is that it's hard to get to t10, then I have to ask if you ever played any other games of this type in your life? This is literally one of the most forgiving ones out there. When I got my first t10 I was quite bad in it, and just being on my team meant that team was less likely to have a fun game resulting with a win. Economy is, in fact, fairly forgiving, and I see players with a low amount of battles in t10 all the time, and none of them are even below average, they're all quite bad. It's not their fault, there's a learning curve to this game, and it's simply not possible to be good in t10 when you only have like 200-300 battles, most of which aren't in high tiers.

So no, I'm not sitting on any high horse, but the amount of battles I do have gives me perspective a new player won't have, perspective on what t10 matchmaking is like, and there is absolutely no call nor reason to make it any worse by giving new players even easier access to it than it already is. The temporary wallet shortcut called the Puerto Rico is bad enough.

Also, I work for a living, and even if I sat on my behind all day doing nothing I still wouldn't reroll, as it proves nothing. All your suggestion would do is allow hordes of new players to very quickly grind to t10, then most of them would get bored and leave the game before grinding a second line after ruining a bunch of other player's games. In turn, veteran players get tired of getting these bad teams and leave. To me, it seems like a bad idea to exacerbate this problem further.

One last thing, I've politely laid out my points without being insulting towards you, something you can't exactly claim after all the "high horse" and egoism comments. The ability to debate and/or disagree with someone without that stuff would be a great skill to add to your resume, and would have uses far wider than on a forum about a computer game. It would also help people actually take you seriously. I would also advise you to look up the meaning of words such as "ego", "egoism", and "egotistic" before trying to use them (the word you were probably looking for is "selfish", not "egotistic", they have different meanings, and I still disagree with the point you were making). Just a thought.

You are way too focused on T10, there is nothing special at T10 and I seen players even saying they rather play at lower levels that at high levels ... T10 is just the mythical "end game content" that is ... pretty much the same old with more buttons to press.

But I will say this, the game is unwelcoming until T5 because all that is closed behind a T5+ and I suspect that is why most players quit because they have no real sense of the game until then, also its true the grind for tiers is bad because some tech ships are really crappy for new players, a example is New Mexico that sure its T6 but when people get that and FXP is the way it is ... uninstall.exe ...and Premiums dont help because their XP gained is hold ransom, maybe you dont see a problem with that but to me, this devalues low tier Premiums that have to be OP to have any worth since they are entirely useless otherwise.

On the contrary, I enjoy all tiers. I also see what a fairly forgiving economy is doing to high tier gameplay in particular, and don't particularly want to see it made worse. With respect, I think 10k random battles is a somewhat better sample size than 66, as the lack of gameplay quality issue is primarily tied to random games and not really felt in coop all that much.

Well I bet if we take your opinion that wows economy is forgiving on poll , and let ALL player vote , you would loose , fact is that to get let say T7 5m ship you need to play 25-50 games on low end premium , depend on skill , and that scare new players away .

The economy is uneven, some ships take a credits loss even at co-op and the high tier play is incentivized for credits generation.

For new players this can be a issue since unless they open wallet and get a nice Tier 8-9 Premium were they print credits, they might have problems in getting new tier ships. Then again I dont think we want WoT economy since if players can afford modules, ships and all that they are more likely to stay instead of trying to herd everyone into the Premium Shop because they want to sell credits.

You have proven my point , you would not start over from nothing , because thought of thousend hours grinding is just frightning , with knowlage that I have , if my account would get banned or earased I would not start from zero , I would play other games ... because economy is too hard for new players ! , yes now days 2 h I do all 3 containers , I can earn 1 mil in "half" game (1.9 mil my record on musashi) , free xp I will with papa papa 1k-2k in one game no problem with flags 17k in good game , so yes I can be "egoistic" and sit on "high horse" and dont give a damn ,about anyone but myself ... but  I want that WOWS exist in 20 years , and best way to get new players is give them "high way" to T10 , best ships in game , you dont fall in love in  Colorado  , you love Montana , and I have no problem WG do that , is better for new players that giving them T2 Diana .

You know when you just bought something or used a service and a question pops up "Would you recommend this to a friend?"

Well, in the case of WOWs at this moment, I'd strongly answer "Hell no!".

Is hard  to disagree with you , therfore I think WG should make it easyer to new player access to T10 , because if newbies first conntact with game will be grind wall , I doubt that they will staying for long.

Yeah, but you still have a lot of players like @Captain_Newman who are quite selfish and don't even see the bigger picture.

If you try to see the things from their perspective, it would be that they don't want new (noob) players in high tiers.

It would make sense if WG wasn't selling high tiers for money which every new (noob) player can buy. Since WG is doing exactly that (even T10, starting with 'Puerto Rico') his whole story falls in the water, straight to the bottom.

I bet most new players don't spend more than a day or two in WOWs. They have such a long way ahead and it's now harder than it was for any of us. Everything scares them away, from mechanics to the amount of ships/lines that seem impossible for them. The small percentage that continues to play for the next few days get in a ship with no AA, facing a T4 CV. They obviously think that they are doing something wrong because who would do such a thing to allow T3 ship with no AA to face T4 CV!??

So everything is made against new players and every competition, every feature and every prize is mainly focused on T10, like all other tiers are an irrelevant step to get to the only tier that matters.

As long as there are regularly 2-3 Hoshos per team in low tier games, still no tutorials after all these years, terrible default settings (no alt interface, stamp-sized minimap, ...) and a terrible chat system that deletes messages randomly you won't retain many of the few new players who stumble into this game.

These problems have been brought up by players in the forum who wished to make the game better and more accessible. They all have been ignored for years. And now you expect us to pick up the ball that you dropped and advertise your game for free? Nope.

And allowing them even quicker and easier access to t10, where the opposition is much more powerful, and is using radars, hydro, ap bombs, smolensk spam, benham torp soup, stalingrad balans shells, etc will make their experience better how, exactly?

Yea, CV seal clubbers are a problem at low tier (and remain so up to t10 in different ways). This is a problem of wg's making, as is making t10, albeit temporarily, available for money - but I've been hearing for years the argument of "oh what does it matter, teams can't possibly get any worse", yet it keeps happening. I have never seen this many extremely poor players at high tier as this holiday season. People literally manage to die in the first 3 min in GK's and Kremlins, never mind DD's. These people should have spent more time learning all classes and getting to understand the basic mechanics at low and mid tiers, before being thrown into even more advanced mechanics, facing more powerful enemies at high tiers. They would have more fun, and their teams sure would as well. All this is going to do is burn them out of the game fast while annoying their team mates. What's wrong with having some progression through tiers, anyway? Going through a good line that you enjoy can be a lot of fun. I mean, first you say that low tiers are punishing (lol) and then your solution is to just let them skip to smolensk, benhams, hakus, enterprise farming them (omegalul).

But yea, I'm sure it's just me not seeing the big picture, so I guess it's fortunate we have you with your 1k battles at 49% to educate us.

Hello, a quick update:

Our server mages managed to implement the bonuses directly, meaning that from now (well, from about 15 minutes ago) this system now works automated and the bonus is directly in game. All players who earned the bonus before this happened (12:10 UTC) will be credited the bonus points in the following days.

Cheers!

Economy in game is good. I have around 1k battles and have a tier 10 ship and that wasn't the only tree I was going for. I am close to another tier 10 and have a few tier 7s and 8s...
